But fortunately and impressively, Bitcoin blockchain keeps working, miners keep mining and they found several blocks last hour. Cloudflare issues did not affect Bitcoin blockchain at all.

Cloudflares can stop working but Bitcoin blockchain rolls and new blocks found but I see time to find latest blocks seems to be longer than 10 minutes. Not sure it is Cloudflare effect.

I thought one of the extensions I had on my browser was causing this, and I have been disabling almost all of them to see if it's working then only I realized that it's due to the CF.

It is now working fine but I noticed other members made posts at the time when I couldn't access the forum means it is specifically affected in certain locations?

The few minutes i noticed this error felt like it was taking forever to get fixed. At first I thought the issue was from my end or Bitcointalk itself.  I almost panicked until I heard other people complaining about twitter and other sites which also faced thesame disruption. I was certain this was going to be fixed since it was a general issue. Somehow, I am just thinking out loud; what if something like this extends for months without being fixed? Lots of things will be ruined

I think I've been on the forum for a little while and for the time I've spent here  I probably have encountered such cloudflare issues so I'm not always bothered except I already sent a post before it occurred because it has lead me to make a post twice in a role so once it happens I just let it rest for seconds or minutes before I head back here.

I'm sure someone might have considered a decentralized protocol but the fact it isn't widely used means it's flaws outpace it's strength.

But the company that manages the domain was also using Cloudflare.
As a result, I couldn't change the site's direction directly to my server.

The conclusion that is reached is that we have Internet services, all being interconnected by just one point.

I believe that this will lead to change, but even so, they are served at a very high cost, so that we see rapid change.

While I want to open a particular website that I normally visit it wasn't working then I thought if it is my network that was having some issues because the environment were I was at that time don't have a stable network. But when I left the place I tried to open the forum but the forum was also not accessible too. Although I didn't get worried because this is not the first time such thing has happened. Among everything that has happened today, things that we have encountered, the most funniest thing (in a sarcastic tone ) of them all was, sites like "isitdown" or "downdetector" which is designed to tell us whether a site is down or not, was also down to this CF incident LMAO!

I be became cloudfare intern today, I decided to test some code today and it seems everything went sideway.  

Today came unaware. I was using x and I noticed my comment section was showing error, I had to logout and login again and it was the same. I thought its normal downtime of x and I gave it some rest. On coming to the forum, I was seeing error everywhere, check my country forum, Nairaland it was the same. I rushed to cloudfare subreddit that was when I noticed it was a global problem but glad it back to normal.

Cloudflare is obviously one centralized point that can shut down most of the internet with one push of a button, and some countries even have internet kill switches.

AWS = 50% of the internet down
Cloudflare = the other 50% of the internet down

I think cloudflare have bigger percentage in real life, but anyway this two cloud services are holding most of the internet for sure.

From today's occurrence, it would be nice if they upgrade their servers and also security apparatus to protect their space because this shows lapses on their side, and who knows if it is a test for a possible attack in the waiting.

If this happens to be on the contrary, will they be able to let the public know what truly happened, or will they keep it a secret so there would be no issue of concern from the masses?

It was when i opened my social media apps that i knew that it mostly affected web browsers, though it had little impact on social media apps too. What can we say from this experience today, is the internet going to face serious attack that will lead to its shutdown one day? maybe it's time to learn about cyber security

Bitcoin mining is going to be interesting if all transatlantic internet connections are down: that means miners on different continents will mine their own fork, and after the connections are restored, the longest chain will wipe out the other forks.

I thought there's something wrong in my side and I tried before to make a flush of DNS and renew my IP to make sure its aint my side but unfortunately it seems its not the only affected platform there is a lot of known and top tier platform having a trouble with the Cloudflare. But it seems this is already fixed after how many hour this thread seems ideal now to lock.

Hackers can start is to make attacks on Cloudflare as it has a much bigger impact.
In fact, they have become the only target of interest for cyber attacks.
