Are you having trouble accessing bitcointalk?

I tried several times but I can't log in. Is there a problem with the site? After several attempts, it will log in but the same problem occurs again. I use both my phone's network and WiFi, and I have the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, it happened multiple times now, and the last one was few minutes ago.

Bitcointalk wasn't the only website affected, two of the websites that I was visiting(weebcentral.com and talkimg.com) at the time also got a Cloudflare error multiple times.

I also tried a few times and couldn't log in due to error 500. I finally managed to get in, but I believe it wasn't just with the forum, as I had the same difficulty trying to access other services, such as my hosting.

Not only that, but I'm even having problems with Cloudflare's own website; the problem is possibly with them...

Cloudflare is/was undergoing maintenance at the time when it all happened, and there was some internal issues from their side, so many of you may experience errors accessing CF enabled sites. It's still in investigation, check the link acroman08 provided. Sometimes it works, something it doesn't, I have tried VPN, TOR everything so far, it just comes and goes at random.

Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which impacts multiple customers: Widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing.

I just posted above without coming across this topic, and Yes I was having issues to access the forum between 12pm forum time, I was thinking it was my network without me knowing that it was a general problem, maybe who knows if an update is being carried out to fixed up some issues on the forum. However, for me to submit this post I am still facing difficulties.

Now that I have come across this topic I would have to go lock mine to avoid repetition of same post in this section which could be seen as Spam.

You are not alone. OP created this thread as well, overlooking other threads. We have another old thread about the same matter, which you can find here Did the forum stop using Cloudflare and instead opt for an alternative?. I have posted a response in that thread already, which was bumped to the top even before these two threads were created. So you both actually overlooked the other thread. The best practice for you is to lock your thread.

Cloudflare strikes again.

I was writing a post, and when it was time to click on the post, the Bitcointalk forum went down for me. It turns out to be a Cloudflare outage, affecting the entire global network. I assume I am not alone in facing the issues. My connection was dropped multiple times over the last few minutes, and I expect it to be dropped again for the next several minutes or hours. However, Cloudflare is already notifying its users through its website. If you have faced the same issue, it's not your ISP; it's Cloudflare.

Once again this highlighted the dangers of this level of centralization. It feels like almost the entire internet is down, all because a large percentage of the internet uses Cloudflare services which had internal issues which led to all these sites go out of reach.

I am really surprised as how Cloudflare's service disruption could affect the whole of the Internet. This was the biggest Internet outage i experienced due to cloudfare server errors.
And for those who didn't know why the bitcointalk, GPT's, X, almost all of the LLMS and many other sites could be accessible, here is what is going on.

It is not only bitcointalk but many sites. I was trying to visit a site to check football match and only for me to see the cloudflare error pages . Which means the issue is World Wild. And many businesses would be affected. And it was since morning the sites were down. And it is now that I can access the bitcointalk forum. And there two processes to login here. Cloudflare you are not a robot stage before the matching of objects page then you login to this forum.

It also shows that there aren't enough competitors capable of matching Cloudflare's pricing and service quality. Now it becomes clearer to my understanding why it's usually spoken of that the internet is a global village. One service provider experienced what could be considered a glitch and people across different parts of the world were affected, their activities online got paused affecting everyone's schedules online. It's relieving to be back online to the forum though.

The Internet is fundamentally broken. We need DDoS protection at the network layer, or else you're going to continue seeing 99% of the Internet hiding behind a few centralized third-parties. It's absolutely ridiculous.

In this case, we have a paradox that the service, which is very likely exactly what the admin thinks, can at any moment disable access to all websites that use it. Considering the rich treasure of the forum and the fact that there are alternative services that do the same as CF (some say they do it well), it is not clear to me that this forum still relies on CF.

The other times, it went down for a couple of minutes, but the last one lasted for almost an hour, and it must have affected many businesses and services. X, Spotify, OpenAI, PayPal, etc, were among the platforms impacted by the downtime, and this makes me wonder if there are no better alternatives to Cloudflare.
