Of course, Murphy's law is absurd, but can also be fun.

How many times, when we are looking for something, we thought, damn, if at least was in this last place possible, that I just looked, but it isn't, I just can't find it or must have missed it on one of the places I already looked.

So, the funny Murphy's law, might be "Never look for something you don't already know where it is, because it will be a waste of time, you won't find it. Just go buy a new one. But, of course, you must know that as soon as you arrive home with the new thing, somehow the old one will hit you on the head".

I think sometimes Murphy's law is observed in practice due to poor planning/knowledge and low confidence.
that wouldn't be murphy's law than just piss poor planning.

Yeah, that's right, Murphy's Law if I remember correctly is "Anything that can go wrong, will" some people no matter how much planning and thought they put into things just have everything go wrong, the only way to combat essentially what is bad luck is to eliminate it as a factor as much as possible as I said in my earlier post.

I think your problem is that you trust people to be as professional and dedicated as you would be if you were in their shoes. Unfortunately you can't do that  Cheesy
Most people are bored senseless with their jobs and use minimal concentration when working. Mistakes are likely to ensue.
I tend to not rely on people and so I will methodically check and make sure that everything is exactly how I want it  Smiley

EDIT - Just wanted to say I got a good chuckle reading your story  Cheesy
