Be prepared to go through a good ole fashioned hazing for being new!!!

Just so everyone knows---just cause I'm new doesn't mean I'm a F*ckin' Retard
or a Back Stabbin' Scammy B*tch!!! I'm a 36yr old man who has some experience
under his belt---Not a wet behind the ears kid who is lookin' for a get rich pipedream.

With that all aside heres some advice for those new to this forum:

Be careful who you deal with. There are scammers out there. There are also people who just wanna see you crash and burn.
They will egg you on and put you down.

Learn as much as you can---There ARE people on here that do care and actually know what they are talking about.

Get to know your wallet---Easiest way to do that is Buy some Bitcoin, or if Your shaky on that, Look at faucets.
Faucets are a fun way to kill some time and get small amounts of free Bitcoin. Also join a signature campaign,
you'll get paid for your posts.

If you want to mine---check out the hardware section and get some education on it. While you are there
don't be discouraged by people who are telling you that you are wasting your time. You might not be.

Don't be afraid to ask some questions---Some people will talk to you like you're a child(cause they forget they were a noob at one point)
But Many people will help you find the correct answer or atleast point you in the right direction.

More than anything---Spread the word about bitcoin!!! Tell your friends, family and coworkers.
The more people who get to hear about Bitcoin the better it is for ALL of us!!!

Goodluck to you ALL!!!  Shazam!!!

Completely agree.  Besides making my grammar-nazi-senses tingle, nice post and good information to follow!

Great thing! and welcome to the forum
I know there is some bad thing here about views towards newbie member's , as most of them turn out to be trolls ,thus it makes hard to trust a newbie.

First thing you should have stated is before asking questions, search if it's been asked already either in the forum search box or through Google.

Asking repetitive questions over and over does get on the Senior members nerves here.  Shows us that you're lazy and not willing to do the leg work.

The point is reading first, do it first,  don't be improper, use your PC with anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-keylogger. If you find something site you don't know better to scan first on virustotal.com I always do it.
Over all for op nice guide post Smiley

~~
it is worth mentioning that this forum has a Trust section under every user's name and in profile which you can always see in profile and under the name (in posts) in sections like lending, trading and such. this helps noticing if someone is legit or scammer

and something that i found out yesterday was this section of forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php
you can see if someone's password was reset recently to recognize hacked or sold accounts

Trust system can be inaccurate at times, do not rely on them. Always check the related reference and trade history. Also, don't trust members just because their ranks are higher.
