cgminer no output

I run cgminer on ubuntu but i see not output at the command line
I first successfully set up and run p2pool and then:
user@E4310:~/programs/cgminer-4.6.1$ cgminer -o http://127.0.0.1:9332 -u user -p password
user@E4310:~/programs/cgminer-4.6.1$

Are you new to linux? You need to use ./cgminer instead of just cgminer
i.e.:

the problem solved after installing cgminer from here: https://github.com/znort987/cgminer and not from here https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer

What are you trying to do? That code is 2 years old. Are you trying to cpu or gpu mine bitcoins? There is no code that does that any more in the current cgminer for it is pointless to try.

No one is maintaining any cpu mining code because you spend about $1000 in electricity for every 1 cent you earn mining.
