Everyone is
adding the value of VAT, they're just not
displaying what part of the transaction is VAT or not. If they're not
displaying VAT, then they've already paid the VAT and will be charging you 20% more. The only thing me displaying (as is legally required) what portion is the item and what portion is the VAT does it make it clear why different regions have different prices.
If the long term resellers aren't charging VAT within their region, they're probably also evading taxes. You're free to get involved with that game if you want, but I'm not.
