It doesn't seem like many people here want to accept interac e-transfers for various reasons. I've had a thread like this up for several weeks now and only completed 2 exchanges.

True ? Do you think there would be more sellers if i try for bank depsoit ?

I would be able to do a cash deposit on urgent basis.
I checked local bitcoin but the prices there are phenomenally high.

Not many takers because an interac e-transfer can be reversed.

i did not know this, how does one reverse an e-transfer? how likely is it that a reversal can happen because I have sold many BTC on localbitcoins and accepted some e-transfers instead of a cash deposit.

If it turns out the sender sent from a stolen or hacked account. I use interac e-transfer but only with my brother so I don't have first hand experience with scams involving this.

Some reading for you guys:

Caution from a thread at this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=296300

Look what it says for interac e-transfer here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Payment_methods

CaVirtex won't accept it:

"Can I send you an e-mail money transfer?

No, we cannot accept or send e-mail money transfers. We warn you that accepting EMT's for private sales can be reversed and should not be considered secured funds if you do not know the sender." https://www.cavirtex.com/faq#sendemt

I don't feel comfortable giving my id to a complete stranger... Anyone who can help out, I'd be perfectly fine if you go down to the bank and withdraw the cash first before escrow releases btc. I was unaware that etransfers could be reversed

Your aware when you send me an EMT I get your full name instantly?
I need to know your id and or proof of whom you are to ensure the money is coming from your bank account.
Along with if you try to pull it back I can contact the police over fraud as I have proof I spoke with the account owner.

If you'd like to talk direct account deposit. I bank with RBC. and Could do this. But couldn't happen until Monday at this point.
Asking for facebook account link.

Or are you guy's simply looking for someone to take 100% of the risk for a minimal amount of reward?
