What firmware version are you using?  I tried amt_a1_0820v01.img that AMT posted but it was giving me errors about using the --rock-freq flag in cgminer.

Which miner do you have? I get the impression they are a bit different. I got a rackmount one with 5 cards. Yours SHOULD be the same minus the rack mount case.

I got a desktop one which looks almost the same as yours, except for the casing of course, and the Pi.  So are you using the amt_a1_0820v01.img image?

EDIT:  Looking at your UI screenshots you're almost certainly not using amt_a1_0820v01.img  The one you posted looks like the one my unit came with, except yours shows the temp and mine doesn't.

The UI on the amt_a1_0820v01 image is a slightly nicer:

I am using the original image that came with it. Modified some settings. I dont think they really did much outside of cosmetic changes. It works pretty much the same but I will check that image out just the same.

aspirin, can you please post the new image on mega.co.nz? Looks like Josh and his "excellent" support decided it would be a good idea to further screw his customers by deleting the image from its download location. I imagine he will be reposting it again before long after this post just to avoid looking bad.

NVM I got it. I will repost it as AMT has passed the buck off to me to support hardware anyway. Link up in a few their dropbox links are gone/deleted. I am posting two kinds of images. The rackmount image of which I took screenshots of. And what appears to be a newer image. I am will take some pics of the power consumption of the miner. Seems to be floating at 1100-1200 most of the time I have had it plugged into the killawatt for a couple days now (yea I know not good).

I'm going to try to get my machine up and running when I get home from school. This has been a nightmare. Never have I had so little support from a company. And they provided an image incorrectly like 3 times when they were trying to distribute it.

I wish there was just an image provided where someone had already set it to DHCP to obtain a lease. Right now apparently my mode/router doesn't like playing with the the provided images and Static IP addresses. I need to install ubuntu to a usb stick when I get home. I used wubi but it doesn't like to give me primary user access so it's not letting me get in to edit the image.

Posting up a full image of the original image provided with the AMT miner. This one has been modified to use a default IP address of 192.168.0.245. This is the ONLY change on the image. As AMT (Josh Zipkin) has passed the buck to the community for supporting their poorly deployed software rollout and decided to refuse responsibility for support, and also clearly can afford to take vacations with the money we gave them.

Updated POST 3 with download links for the AMT update AND the original stock image that ships with the system. Only modification is the IP address 192.168.0.245, since AMT could not be bothered to do the basics in customer support, it falls to the community (in this case me) to actually do AMT Josh Zipkin's job for him.

Updated with video links and hashing links. 12 hour hashing performance is pretty much the same with more consumption than an S2. I have been running the miner for days and the 12 hour did not really make a difference. I would recommend other options for rack mounts. At the size that this comes in 2Ths should be the bare minimum for this form factor to look at.

Hi. where can I get the img file firmware for amt 1.25 ths system. My amt web site no longer showing me the home or setup link. Thanks

PART 2:

Reserved for power consumption, hashing stats

Initial Hashing stats. I will post a more sustained average from the miner later on this is just to start.

What the pool reports after about 10 minutes. This is on BTCguild. I will move the miner over to elgius for more accurate stats.

While there is a 12 hour average here. This is pretty much what it looks like all the time. I think the 1.27Ths number is fixed and always in there. No matter what I do that number will not change. The pool reports

This is about the norm. Usually a but lower at around 950 most of the time. The performance is not consistent and this is actually the best it can do. Looks like other people who reported a 10 percent rejection rate. CGMINER stats coming soon.

I would recommend selling it and replacing it with a bitmain S5 and S3.. for the cost of the hardware parts in there you could sell it for an s5 and an s3 and come out with 1.4-1.5 which is better than this unstable garbage they shipped us. That said there are links for the image. If those are down, someone can post a new mirror up.

I posted mega.co links that should still work. Check OP or second post. If those are down I will have to look for the image files as they are archived in cold storage for the time being until they are required. In obvious retaliation against the community AMT decided to pass the buck of support off to its customer/investors. There is a post for that in one of the various other AMT threads.

the fail seems to be a problem with it. it says it's broken when trying to extart it. is there anywhere else to download it from. Thank you

reserved webgui, howto

Quick Notes/Issues (WIP) Will be edited with a more formal howto

If you did not flash the image provided by AMT, please note the IP is unique PER MINER and statically set. I had to pull it from the /etc/network/interfaces file on the SDCard using another linux machine.

How to get it without hooking up the HDMI or needing a linux machine:

Pull your SDCard from the unit (requires opening it) And look at the number written in marker onto the SDCard. 192.168.1.X (X is the number on the SDCard) That is your IP. Monumentally poor judgement on that decision. I will provide those who PM me with a modified image correcting any weird issues I encounter like the IP and have it set to a default IP or you can use this method to get up and running. While I believe in the OSS model I feel that AMT will profit from my work and not give due credit or compensation for it. Hence my need to approach it this way.

Other notes the miner uses Rasberrian. Apt-get and other tools for customzation are in there so it is more friendly to configuration (within limits) than most of the other miner tools out there. Depending on your skill level I would caution against modifying it. But if you are comfortable with linux customization I say go for it. Even upgrading to the latest cgminer if it uses an unmodified A1 driver.

FYI According to AMT this is the login for the machine SSH and web interface
*Note this is AMT's info. It should work. If not please report here I can provide alternate workarounds if it does not*
User:  admin

Password to ssh is:
root\stone201405

Since AMT has chosen to take down or delete the dropbox link I am rehosting it here. http://[Suspicious link removed]/q5rl56g This is the amt_a1_0820v01 a.img.bz2 file they posted.

Here is a FULL backup of the stock image. The ONLY modification on it is the IP address which is 192.168.0.245. As AMT has ceased to support any of their stuff, it seems appropriate to post it here.
Please note this is a torrent link. Use the torrent client of your choice do download it.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This miner is not as efficient as it could be. Considering the size, and power consumption on the miner 1300, not to mention the various other issues that customers have had with just getting them, I cannot recommend this as an option to purchase. For comparison on price AMT charges 1200-1350 for these devices (again a problem as its a variable price) for what basically is 1Ths @ 1200 watts. Compared to the same amount you could spend on 4 Bitmain Antminer S3s get 1.8Ths @ 1475W for the same price. The choice here is clear. Despite my other issues with the company, the device is well built. BUT they really need to work on power consumption.

This is the shipping version of it. Give this a try. https://mega.co.nz/#!68NHGIhC!RNKS1h25YdmrCeQnLC7RAlYiJaGG8QGwFrdVF2uRbRQ

Remember AMT never even reached out to try to support this. More than likely they will lay the blame of this on you somehow. Or on me even. Josh has a habit of doing that.
