I'm currently in a situation where two parties I am escrowing a transaction for has raised a bit of a dispute.

The buyer claims the seller is no longer providing the service so that I should refund him the remaining amount. Meanwhile the seller is claiming that all services are already delivered.

The buyer claims that the seller sent him a PM on these forums stating he will no longer be completing the work and that the BTC can be sent back to the buyer.

My question is, can any forum admin or moderator be able to help verify whether or not the PM happened or not? Because this would be a simple case to resolve if the PM can be proven to actually have happened or not.

I appreciate any insight in regards to this matter Smiley First time handling an escrow dispute and I just want to make sure I am siding with the right party.

Mods to no intervene with transactions, simple as that. If they did, they would get tons of request to verify PMs and someone alt accounts.

I know this is resolved already but just for future reference, a much easier and quicker way of doing this is to report the pm, by default reported pm's go to us and global mods. You can choose who it goes to with the drop down box if there's someone in particular you want to work with.

No you didn't, you reported a pm where he said he received that pm.

The only thing that verifies is that he did send you a pm saying he received a pm.

The only thing that verifies is that he did send you a pm saying he received a pm.

So in this case should I ask the buyer to report the PM that the seller sent to him? Since the PM was sent from the seller to the buyer only.
