21st point is indeed interesting, i never heard about it before to be honest.
They also have retail price lidted there so is it out already or is it just an price preddiction or something along that?
I'm currently on mobile phone so i'm quite limited to research about it.

FWIW the below are the ones I am keeping an eye on, with a comment:

-- 21 Ledger (hardware wallets), I have a Ledger Nano and like it a lot.  Competitors could probably enter though...
-- 15 Factom (placing document links on the blockchain).  This could be big.
-- 12 blockchain.info (blockchain and BTC tools).  Nice to use, but buggy...
-- 10 DarkWallet (enabling better privacy).  I don't know much about them, but I want to learn more!
-- 08 Swarm (crowdfunding BTC startups).  I am interested in finding a way to invest in possible winners in BTC.
-- 02 Ethereum ("Bitcoin 2.0").  I need to learn more
-- 01 "21" (?, but loaded up with VC cash).  We ALL need to learn more!

What is 21? Outside of a chosen few, no one knows for sure. But that hasn't stopped it raising a staggering $116 million before it has even launched — a record for the industry.

It's led by VC Balaji Srinivasan, who is a partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz — which was one of the firms to invest in 21's recent round along with RRE Ventures. When the news of its funding round broke, CEO/cofounder Matthew Pauker told The Wall Street Journal that it was working on "several interesting developments over the next weeks and months" that would help "drive mainstream adoption of bitcoin."

Highly respected VC Marc Andreessen said 21 was "working on what they — and we — consider to be core infrastructure for mainstreaming bitcoin."

Hardware manufacturer Qualcomm (who also works with Apple and Samsung) is involved, and many believe 21 intends to embed the bitcoin network into consumer electronics and the coming "internet of things." Five years from now your smartphone, your router, your laptop, and your fridge may all be part of the bitcoin network, if 21 gets its way.

I haven't heard of the 21st one either. It's definitely interesting and the retail price is good.
Well another great startup is Coinfinity (https://coinfinity.co/start-en/). That's the company behind Bitcoinbons (https://www.bitcoinbon.at/) that I've recently written about. They even have their own ATM in Austria.

Reading that article has actually given me some more hope and optimism about bitcoin now. Had no idea about some of these projects. I still think the remittance market is going to be the biggest industry for bitcoin's adoption. Surprised it hasn't taken off already, though.

The ledger wallet seems nice, but why should I carry yet another device in my pocket. My phone is not going to be replaced soon, and a 'usb stick like' device is surely te be lost at some point, more than my phone. RFC is more common on phones these days.

The price is very nice, so it might work out and convince me to try it at the least.

There are lots of good ideas in the list, and some that are over-played (Ripple!) but I am not sure that I see the must have killer app in that list.
Sending money quickly around the world, and having it out of the hands of banks is the main advantage of bitcoin that I see.  I am not sure that these apps fully utilize that.

How about a simple "accept bitcoin" app? So that essentially every business or person with a smartphone can accept bitcoin?

Hm, not quite. Ledger Wallet's design allows you to carry it on your keychain, so I would say it is designed to have it with you at all times. What is meant to be inside a safe is the recovery seed, in case you forget your PIN.

I don't understand why ripple is there in the list. It doesn't have anything to relate to bitcoin or in any way contribute towards its development. At least coindesk deserves to be there. For me, the most interesting I see playing a role in the social media platform is changetip whereby it will definitely help to promote bitcoin and help towards adoption. And that is where small tipping matters.

Ripple is an alternative cryptocurrency based on bitcoin. It's the second-largest digital currency in market cap and aims to solve many of the problems bitcoin faces — like the time it takes to verify transactions. It also doesn't bother with "mining," the process by which new bitcoin are "discovered" by users in return for contributing computing power to the network's upkeep. All the coins are "pre-mined." It's particularly useful for transferring money, which can then be turned back into a local currency: "the coins are largely perfunctory for users simply looking to use the network to send payments," Rob Wile wrote. "They're basically just temporary vehicles for your fiat."

Um, what? Ripple? I disagree with 20 - mainly because it's XRP - and I disagree with 11 - FileCoin. Storj should be there, it should at least be tied with 11. They're both doing something similar.
