why not make the freeroll a standard pay out system? i mean its a win-win for players and the site. more people get into the money, the more people will get to try the cash games.

IMO, freerolls are there to try the website and hopefully try and play the cash games. so why make it a fewer payouts. do you want players to just cash out after the freerolls because nobody is there to play the cash games.

At this time we are going to stick with our Top 3 payouts. Anything more then top 3 it makes the winnings so low, that you wouldn't be able to do a minimum buy-in at a cash game table.

and i think there is no guarantee that there will be at least 6 players ready to play in ring games after the free-roll

We appreciate the feedback but I do not agree with this type of payout structure. We like to make playing in our freerolls worth players time, and doing the payout structure like this does not really do that.

Example: You pay 10% of 50 participants (which is 5) people in our 200mBTC freeroll. The payout structure would be something like 1st = 80mbtc, 2nd = 40mBTC, 3rd = 30mBTC, 4th = 30mBTC, 5th = 20mBTC.

Currently our lowest tournament buy-in is 50mBTC and our lowest ring game buy-in is 40mBTC. To us this does not make sense to payout less then what it will cost a player to play in our other tournaments or cash games from their winnings.

Please remember we are representing ourselves as a high stakes bitcoin poker room so this payout structure does not benefit us. (At least for our 200mBTC Freeroll)

Actually the 10 % is only my suggestion, I dont really know how the standart payout works, KPguy, moonbind and me just taking up example from betvippoker , where the freerolls winning is split among the guys according to the number of participants, limited this to top 3 guys, only 3 guys managed to play in the next buy-in tournament or either play up in the stakes tables

your suggestion is good, but as what they said "they are representing high stakes bitcoin poker room"

imagine that there are 200 players registered in the 200mBtc freeroll, 10% means 20players will get the prize, means that they will only get small prize and will not able to join the buy-in tournament or ring games.

I prefer to limited winners than based on total participants.

Lets say top 3 or top 5 depends on the total prize.

Especially for the upcoming 200mBtc freeroll, top 3 winners is reasonable.

But for another bigger prize such as 1BTC freeroll, better to split the price into 5-10winners.

Of course, this is only my own opinion & suggestion.

Hi Admin, I have a suggestion, people are always confused with different time zones as to when a particular tournament will start. If it is possible could you make a Timer Countdown on the front page of the site itself and/or maybe in the OP also which tells how much hours is left for a tournament to begin?
