I won one of the hourly freerolls last night and my balance shows as 5.0 chips.  I'm wondering if the decimal point there means that you guys are working on getting some micro-stakes working.  I really like the smoothness and no-downloadness of your site but it's a shame that there's no real action at the moment.  I wonder if you guys can just as a staff be playing in some ring games just so there's someone there to play against.

We are working on it.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are doing what we can to try to get players to be active in the ring games/tournaments.

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

I know you've already heard it from us, but I do think that the micro-stakes are going to be crucial.  Sealswithclubs used to have 0.1/0.2 rooms and if you win a 5 chip freeroll that's the perfect stakes to play a little while.  I think your goal should be to keep people on the site and offering small stakes tables is probably gonna help that.  Once you have micro-stakes tables kicking as 24-7, that's when people will start buying into the bigger tables.

I'm totaly a supporter and I'm hoping this goes big for you.  I wonder if you can hire your friends to sit there and play small stakes in exchange for free beer at your house or something.  You want something to get the action going on your tables.  It's a bootstrapping problem, I'm pretty convinced.

We are still looking into this. We have to speak with our developer to see how "easy" it is to allow "micro" stakes tables but still have the conversion from chips to BTC correctly functioning.

Thanks.

I have seen that there are no more freerroll any more  Undecided I'd like to play one in an european timezone,
is there any plan for a future freerroll?
there are hourly freerolls
Thanks! I have registered for the next one that starts in 10 minutes!
Good luck to everyone
Have played it,but really difficult and annoying to play with all-in preflopers from the beginning, I don't know why they play if they do that
I hope I can join to a bigger freeroll, this was small, not even a table filled  Tongue

you can do nothing to that as most of players doesnt want to wait for hours just to know who will in. They probably just joined the freerolls for money and not for enjoyment

Our 5mBTC Hourly freerolls are on hold until we can implement the "micro" stakes cash games/tournaments.

Hopefully this will not take anymore then a day or 2. We will keep everyone updated to win this is implemented.

In the meantime we have added a 5+1mBTC buy-in tournament that starts in 1 hour and a half. Rebuys have no fee. Only 2 players needed to start.

Thanks

No rebuy fee? Some bad players will abuse it, rebuy then allin every hand, no matter good or bad, it spoils the game.

What? The rebuy is still 5mBTC, but no FEE. Remember the fee is what goes to us. There is still a rebuy cost to the player.

I'd like to see GTD tournament, you can start it with low prize like 25-100Chip GTD tournament.
I've visited you site several times today, but I did not find other online players even 1..

No free-rolls, no players.

If you want your site to succeed, you need to be prepared to operate at loss for the first few months and you can't save on promotion and freerolls. You won't make it without it.

I think 5mBTC every hour is too much for what you're trying to acheive with the freeroll.

If you ever relaunch it, you could diminish the payout and change the format a bit.
No late reg or 5 minutes max. People were still able to join after a full table was down to heads up.
Winner takes all is fine.

Do you have any examples of a poker site went down because of freerolls?
in my opinion, freerolls will never make a site go down if the site has another interesting offers.
Players will not withdraw their freeroll winning chip directly if there is another chance to make more profit with their freeroll winning chips.
To prevent direct withdraw freeroll winning chip, the site may also give some requirements. For example, higher minimum withdraw especially for freeroll chips, players need to play in the ring games or other buy-in tournaments before they can withdraw their freeroll winning chips, etc.

So, all depends on the site. How they manage to keep their players stay longer.

We removed the website header on the /play/ page. This should fix the issue with lower resolution or smaller monitors.

I would say that the current problem is that there's nothing to do with the winnings of the a freeroll.
Raising the withdrawal limit doesn't really fix the problem. If I really want my 5mbTC I just deposit 15mBTC and cash out 20.

Personally, I would run higher prized freerolls during peaks hours and straight up nothing during low traffic.

I am trying to withdraw 30 chips but I'm getting an "Api error: Error"   message.

Could someone from BitcoinPoker please get me sorted? I would love to stay and play, but there is just no action at the moment.
