this cheapster poker site is dead, and it is not worth even buying, forget about this shit, mismanaged and lame...
R.I.P.
Of course this will not worth if all the players are just like you, IMHO you are trolling here but in your deepest heart you want to see the freeroll is up again so that you can earn some cents with your great trick (cheating) LOL

. I don't think he would run away with those 0.263 BTC.
I think that error is cause by hosting so it is maybe OP stop the hosting already. If he is planning to make this then he should have warn people to withdraw but there is no sign from OP about this so he could be taking away that btc but this is just my predictions . This is very weird I think he is an honest guy and has always intended to repay everyone. I had freeroll chips on there and he fully paid me when other site operators might not have. (All told I made more than 0.260 btc there ...) If you still had chips on the site just PM him. I'm sure all will be resolved appropriately. Obviously the site is for sale and OP is just controlling costs until a sale can be finalized. If this is so then I apologize for getting the bad idea that he is going to steal it. I hope nobody lost his fund here . I just think this is just very weird to shut down hosting without telling the player to take the btc out from the site first

I have a question, in which way you control that in some table there are two player that are the same people? (for example).

Not really, freeroll will only attract freeroller who will not play on the ring games. Means that this is not a good condition to the site.

Freerolls should be based on those that contributed to the site through play. A "point" system would suffice, such that x points are needed to enter. Or even a hand played count. Essentially, keep the "only going to play free" players out of them and give more incentive for playing ring games and paid tournaments.

Sorry but what is the point to discuss about freerolls here? the site is already dead and we should leave it. There is no point to discuss that already here, there are alot more poker thread here if you want to discuss freerolls. Also that I see that the admin still owe some bitcoin, has it been returned yet to the players?

The site is currently for sale. Hint 1: that means there may be a buyer Hint 2: that means the buyer would run the site Hint 3: that means the site would be revived Hint 4: that means things are still relevant

I think sealswithclubs really let us all down when they went windows only. This site's functionality was great, they just missed the boat in the marketing and promotion department (imho). I hope there does end up being a new buyer as I basically have no where to play bitcoin poker anymore (for now). I also think the window of opportunity will eventually close. Seals will eventually release cross-platform clients and they're basically going to have all the business back, I think. Right now there are a lot of orphaned players, but that can't be the case forever.

I think Betcoin has been winning over some people, but there's room for anyone that can come up with a system that really makes them stand out. You don't have to be bigger than the others -- just be better and others will come, leading to growth.

Well, but this site was better than their competition in many ways imo, but that wasn't really enough to lead to the growth. I think the deal with a poker site is that there's a critical mass necessary to get things started. 9/10 times that I looked into bitcoinpoker.gg (especially before they started the freerolls) there was no one there to play with. After the freerolls started, I still almost never was able to get any action because it was just the leeches waiting for the freerolls to start. I think that you also need some kind of marketing plan and a plan to get a critical mass ready and available on opening day. Imagine this: you send out emails to 100 of the top bitcoin poker players before you open. Telling them the opening day and offering them 100 free chips (or so) and a referral bonus if they play at least N hands in the ring-games and tournement games within 7 days of opening. Then you advertize the grande-opening like hell BEFORE the actual opening day. Then, when you open, you actually have people there playing poker and hopefully you could grow much more organically after that.

And what you said is causing issues (the whole freeroll leech situation) is just like we're seeing with LuckyFlop now: over 100 people sign up for the weekly 500mBTC freerolls. Around 25-30 usually sign up for the hourly ones. Yet after three weeks of playing there, I've not ever seen a single ring game going.

No news so far and just checked the site..but it is inaccessible now, so I think it is gone now. He has not been on since the 8th August so unless they had an email address which he has responded to looks like they are out of pocket a little, very surprising if they do not receive such a small amount of funds from him though as I really don't think he would let them down. Not looking good though is it.
