Sold to CoinHoarder
I now have a box big enough to ship it, although it will be expensive.  150 BTC shipped. Still willing to trade for 2 singles plus ~$150 for shipping.

Minecart 3.0

  • Case: Storage crate!
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte AM3+ UD3
  • CPU: AMD Athlon II Dual core 2.8 ghz
  • Memory: 2gb DDR3 memory
  • 40gb 2.5 inch HD
  • PSU: 1200 Watt Corsair ATX
  • OS: XUbuntu 12.04
  • GPU: 3x OEM 5970 800/250     1x Diamond 5970 780/250

2870 MH/s
1110 watts at the wall

I've been running 750/300/1v x3 and 730/300/1v x1 for the summer and it's down to about 900 Watts, 2.6 gh, with no box fan required. Temps 70c and under.

This would take approximately 4 months to pay off at current BTC rate

Yeh, it's paid itself off a couple times for me. I really want to play around with litecoin mining but I can't seem to get all 4 running under xubuntu 12.04 with cgminer and bfgminer.

Whole rig is local pickup only (Dallas Area). Also willing to part out and ship if no one is interested in the whole rig

I would be interested in one or two of the 5970s OEM if you decide to part it out, I'm located in Canada.

i could do local pickup on it, maybe.  i drove to houston for a $2000 deal back in march, dallas is closer.

does the motherboard have a power switch or do you just short it to start it or what?

(doesn't the 1200W Corsair get super hot with 4 5970's?  or would it just have issues if you tried to overclock?)

Sorry to tease, I'm going to let the minecart pay itself off one more time before I start considering any lowball offers.

Not going to lie, increasing bitcoin value played a major part in me suspending the sale. If BFL releases ASICs in October, the rig as a whole may be worthless. However, the rig should have put around 600 - 800 dollars back in my pocket. At that point I'm assuming I can still get >200 for the PSU, maybe 250 for each 5970 and around 150 for the rest of the components.

what is the cash equivalent of 2 BFL *singles?

would you consider trading any hardware for the taking of someone's virginity?

Pirate probably has a few, although one of the 5970s in my rig was originally his so not sure he would want to buy it back. Someone might be close and willing to drive, worth a shot. I don't really feel like taking the rig apart and shipping it.

Cash equivalent, I'm putting it at $1600 even though I wouldn't personally pay more than $700 a piece for BFL singles. If someone is willing to meet up for a trade I'm willing to take that $200 loss.
