I stand by the opinion that it is dangerous to buy from alcheminer now. They don't have any chips left for production and seems to me they gather money to their "farewell fund" ie they leave silently with the cash. The price  is too low for such production cost! And what's the point of selling cheap if there is demand?

You might be right, this is too cheap! HC has equipment in stock, I checked before ordering and getting my miner. More over i wouldn't order from suspicious Chinese suppliers if i could get this stuff from stock in EU.

This is the bitcoin forum, you need to ask your questions about mining alt-coins in the appropriate forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0. The machine you purchased won't mine Bitcoins.

I am the CEO of Alcheminer.
I don't know why you think hashcoin is ligit.
Actually, hashcoin is just one of our customer that bought our miner and washed out the logo.
We reserve power to prosecute.
Don't you think it's strange why the miners of HS don't have logo on the chips?
More, what words were blocked by "ARES256" on the left-upper side of the front case?

We still have chips in stock and not yet been made into miners.
Our vendor factory in Taiwan is a stock public company.
It will take response of warranty, so is AlcheMiner.
Yes, we sell our miners in a low price.
That's because we don't want to mine in Taiwan for many reasons.
We think crypto-currency need to be de-centralized.
And it's waste to put these miners in the stock.
So, we decrease the price to sell them.

Hi Skatebird.

I recommend you to use standard ATX 850W *3 or 1300W *2.
And I recommend you to mine in GHASH.IO with the fixed diff 50000.

You can try and mine on wif-fi but i've had issues with spotty connections , the miner requires a consistent network connection If you have a strong wif-fi connection you should be ok , but a bad connection was a recipie for disconects and rejects for me.

I run mine on two g2 1300 EVGA psu's .   The unit will pull around 2300-2600 from the wall if you are on 80% effeciency and a bit less on 240v

My Alcheminer arrived today...   Sent Tom bitcoins on Wednesday, miner arrived Friday.  He is the nicest guy - did everything he could to help me get this miner.  He offered to allow me to pay with Paypal to his personal account and sent me a very professional company invoice to my paypal, as it turns out, I found some BTC and by this time i totally Tom, so I paid in BTC.

Its not a scam - 256 megahash for a total of 1259.00 including shipping to the USA.  Grin

So with a guess of 2% difficulty increase, free power, not including power supplies, and a 2% pool fee, you're at break even in 230 days. You might be able to do a bit better than that with a multipool and if the difficultly gods are kind.

Too risky for my blood. Now if it was $900 shipped, then it would be interesting.

well it is now april 16th I assume they are still at the 1,259 or whatever price incl shipping to usa? what is the turn around time now anyone know?

not sure I'm gonna get one but have a buddy with free elec (solar) that may get one for kicks ..esp if you have an option for paypal as stated

in a post above....

anyone with more recent success or the OP can post such here or PM me I'll pass it along to my friend

me I prob have enough scrypt miners (2 titans) but hey .....with his free elec it may work out for him (in a state where the util does NOT buy back excess electric)
thus his reasoning on getting such a toy at this time and LTC price

wish you all success with your purchases....will go back into lurk mode (always trying to find the legit companies to pass along info about)

Thinking of getting one of these. Why? Well, it's been a while since I got anything and I'm kinda bored  Smiley

Is there something else out there that I should consider instead?
