what is double spend ? what will happens with my coins ? i just tryd to move them from my old wallet to my new one

Your transaction depends on several other transactions to be confirmed. One of those is 93903...[1] which uses inputs from42e29...[2]. The same inputs are spend with tx b26c...[3]. b26c allready has 25 confirmations. Thus 93903 can not confirm, thus 246b3...[4] can not confirm, thus 7962...[5] (yours) can not confirm.

tl;dr: No this will never confirm, someone fucked it up, either by accident or intentional.

Long chains messed up here. OP would you share what this was? A mixer? A DarkWallet use? Did you get your coins in the end?

I've had transactions say it may be related to a doublespend, but never had an issue recieving or spending the coins.

Genius statement, I would say that you have no problem at the moment. I've never had a dub issue on blockchain and, in fact, they have seemed like a wonderful bed and breakfast that serves nothing but steak and eggs, plus prime rib for dinner.

Were you using your own wallet or Blockchain.info? If it is the latter I won't be surprised due to an error on their part; they have been having a lot of troubles lately.

Wait for sometime and see. Sometimes one of the inputs may have had 1 confirmation but that block got orphaned later. In that case it eventually goes through.

this is what happened. a Wallet got hacked. so lots of coins were moved. 10 seconds before that wallet got hacked i sent another 0.1 to that wallet. 10 minutes later the hacked money returned (looks like the hacker wanted to help me improve security and pointed out a flaw). scared something like it would happen again i sent some of the BTC to my cold storage. which are those coins i linked in the TX.

so my coins are gone forever lol ?

can i? and should i cancel the outgoing transaction from my computer ?

As you can see on the right.

But that transaction has disappeared from both his, and my transaction history.
I can follow the output history on the left, and see that he somehow was paid with double spent money and that's why my transaction got clogged.

But the part I am very confused by is what happens next or how do I fix this?

It appears my transaction has disappeared, but I don't think he got his money back? If he didn't get it back, and it never confirms(goes2me) then how does he get it back or the transaction go through?

I am using BitCoin Core if that matters, and this was my receiving address.

Some other user performed a double spend to himself today to get some coins out of limbo... Double spend isn't always bad.

shorena explained it nicely, but your transaction was dependent on other transactions. It seems someone was either trying to scam you or trying to scam the person who was supposed to be sending you the bitcoin.

As far as "how does he get it back" - bitcoin is not really "in" an address, that is an abstraction and it isn't ever in limbo between one address and another. It is based on inputs and outputs, so he won't have to "get it back" since it doesn't go anywhere. It is either spent or unspent. So if the long chain of transactions was all in his control, he never lost the money. If the long chain was from someone sending to him, then he'd have to talk to the person who sent him those transactions.

Right now it looks like only way to fix it is to have him send you bitcoin that isn't dependent on other transactions that are double-spend attempts since as shorena noted, one of the transactions in the sequence has many confirmations.

If you can't get them to send another payment perhaps you are. If you were selling them something, and haven't already sent it, don't send it.

I am curious as to what wallet are you using? I am surprised your wallet didn't warn you that it was based on a long transaction chain that included unconfirmed/potential transactions that were conflicted.

If you have a long chain of transactions that haven't confirmed, it is like "the check is in the mail."
