Looks like you've missed it. There is already a thread about this. Although due to this being positive news we can't stress it enough. The media usually stresses bad news so we should do the same with positive news.

You do seem however to be promoting your own website, which is okay. Keep covering good news.

It is indeed good news. Hopefully it'll have a knock-on effect and other operators like Skrill and Ukash will jump on board. Still waiting on Paypal to finally accept bitcoin, though.

Yep, Neteller has already started accepting Bitcoin for deposits: http://www.bitcoincasino.org/blog/neteller-officially-starts-accepting-bitcoin-deposits

This could be huge.

After reading more about it:
Quote
The move is an apparent reversal of policy for Neteller, which previously revised its terms of use policy to explicitly prohibit the “trade, exchange, purchase or sale of bitcoins, or any other virtual currency”.
What a surprise. It looks like a certain somebody how accumulated enough Bitcoin at low price.  Cheesy

I am not sure how good of a news is this for the price of bitcoin. It is currently only allowing people to deposit onto the site but not withdraw from it, so its bad for the price of btc.
This also applies and means the same for Pokerstars. Now since you can deposit but not withdraw means drop in price.

Overall its bullish, it will just take some time before they get into withdraws.  Neteller has a huge customer base bitcoin just got a free advert to many many thousands.

Its not necessary they will be adding the withdrawal option as they are doing the deposits with Bitpay. If they do add that, then the sites will be taking a risk as they will have to hold a small amount of bitcoins and will be affected by the volatility that comes along with it. I think Pokerstars might have the withdrawal option once they start accepting bitcoins directly.

Since when can you deposit BTC on Pokerstars?
Im a former US players, so im obviously out of the loop when it comes to news regarding Stars....

As far as Neteller accepting BTC, thats really really really good news. Hopefully a domino effect will happen with others following the lead.

You cannot deposit BTC on PokerStars, however depositing BTC at Neteller, then depositing at Stars with those Neteller funds is a fairly simple task and only takes a couple of minutes once you got it all set up.

Like Bitcasino said, it will only be possible to deposit through Neteller for now. However Pokerstars should be adding the deposit option hopefully before the end of the year.
I am however expecting to see Stars allowing withdrawals as well. Will certainly be a better news then.

Does this mean you can convert BTC to USD using neteller?

I'm not familar with Neteller, but with Skrill there is a currency exchanger built in so you can choose what currency you want to send.

Great news about neteller finally letting you deposit but like others said we need to be able to withdraw as well or what is the point. i have also heard pokerstars are adding it soon, if that is true it is better news than we have here by far. All around positive though love a bit of positive news to change the norm. Cheers op

TC is the worse thing to happen to default, needs to open his eyes and not jump to conclusions, not everyone lies!!! Anyway as promised I have left, pass word changed to long random which I will forget like that plonker who ruined a perfectly fine account.

People are a lot more wary now of news like this including me, they won't buy into hype, remember when people overreacted to fake Thailand central bank news items and such? Same sort of thing, people are going to wait for a proper confirmation first.
