Your account is worth a bit less than collateral, i would say 80% or 70% of the collateral people would request. Also no-interest will put a bunch of people off. Muhammad Zakir however offers no-collateral loans and I think you should post on his thread. He also does no collateral I think. I can't currently find his thread but its pretty active and you should see it come in the unread posts page some time or another.

Oh, so if you have done business before with him, why don't you do it again? He should be much more trusting with you and he should pretty much guaranteed give you a loan since he trusts you. He also doesn't request interest at all, but he does accept tips. What makes you want to get a loan from a new user instead of muhammed?

Off original topic, but it appears to have resolved itself...

Receiving money (tips) for offering a loan is called interest.  He's still charging interest, but only to people who choose to pay it.

It's the same as those big box stores.  They offer you a no interest loan, but charge you $50 to apply for it.   Interest is the cost of borrowing money - that $50 payment is interest no matter what they call it.

If you make a big enough fuss, you can get them to remove the $50 fee, same as he won't take your tip if you don't offer it.

Did muhammed zakir reject your loan? You stated you did business previously with him so its very unlikely that he would deny people hes worked with before. If you would be providing collateral and a 10% interest I would provide this loan to you, just PM me if you need it.

There is a misunderstanding here.

Meaning of interest:

"Money paid regularly at a particular rate for the use of money lent, or for delaying the repayment of a debt" ~ Google.

For a loan to be considered as repaid, you need to pay the interest but for no-interest loans, repaying the borrowed amount is enough. You don't want to pay a penny more than the amount you borrowed.

Interest is enforced but tips aren't.

The example you gave is charging interest but it is different from this. Smiley
