Hello,

I am willing to start "trading" or at least playing a little bit with the coins.
I have tried to check the fees on different exchange places but it is not always very clear. Generally the transaction fee is well explained, but not the withdrawal fees for instance.

Is there a thread (i couldn't find it) or site with a comparison of the fees and commissions taken by the exchange places?

Thanks
Amph

For the wiki, there are two possibilities;
  • Wiki editors don't know about it.
  • Wiki editors thought it does not deserves an wiki page(or mention).
Of course, you can add it if you want.
For coindesk, ask them ;p

Some exchanges offer fee free trading for a short period after being hacked. Bitstamp was fee free after their hack. It's extremely risky taking advantage of such offers, but they are made for short periods from time to time.

I think you have arbitrage in your mind. If I am correct, do not even try to do so, you ll just lose money. Very few coins have sufficient dept and liquidity to do arbitrage and these are heavily covered by professional traders and their bots.

bitstamp had indeed no fees but it was unfortunately for a very short time.
nowadays exchanges seem to battle with each other by offering lower trading and withdrawal fees.
customer benefits when trading fees get lower and lower.
