Hi, ok so my bitcoin stopped working, didnt do anything and it just stopped working.

when ever i tried to open it it just says bitcoin.exe has stopped working

so i backed up my wallet.dat and uninstalled then reinstalled it, still not working

so i installed it on another computer and copied over my wallet.dat and it shows all my transactions and stuff but balance = 0.0 and all transactions are 0/unconfirmed and grayed out.

1, is it possible to fix the bitcoin install on my computer

2, when i moved my wallet.dat to another computer did i lose my bitcoins, whats going on, do they just need time to reconfirm?

THANKS!

If you are using 0.3.21 or later, this should work. You'll possibly need to wait until the blockchain is downloaded on the other computer though.

If you are using 0.3.20, you need start that the bitcoin program with the -rescan command-line option.

If you are using an earlier version, upgrade, and use -rescan.

I do Bitcoin stuff.

I have this same problem. Now I can't transfer any more bitcoins to the wallet, either. the original three transactions (all-bummer) are listed, the balance is zero and no confirmations.
