Or do people ditch it altogether?  What are your opinions?

I think it becomes less valuable because people wouldn't want to risk legal harm to their assets pre-bitcoin.

Less valuable. Big money from VCs and Wall Street-types won't flow in.
That is an automatic dampener of price.

If its being outlawed by all governments then the low demand will kill the price. It would be a hard to buy/sell large quantity of bitcoin

No it will lose it's value since it will become hard for users to find others who use the same currency and are willing to trade goods or services for it.
