I don't think we will see satoshi again, he is "disappear" and this is why bitcoin is the best currency in the world.

I don't think that we will see him again. I think he disappeared because of all of the attention that he would have if he was still around. He would probably have a lot of governments watching his every action if he was still around.

Do not feel abandoned by the great Satoshi.
He had good reasons for leaving us to learn and grow without him.

i see so many people wanting satoshi to return so we can all give him thanks.

but the real question is... do you know the creator (the actual mastermind person) of bank notes.

would you have the same desire for the fiat creator to return
would you have the same desire to thank the fiat creator.

We don't need bitcoin 2.0 right now, maybe in the future when bitcoin will be more established. And Satoshi posted one message in 2014, when media suspected some innocent man of being Satoshi.
So he is not dead as people may think. I think he likes his godly status...

There was no PGP signature. I can't imagine Satoshi would ever properly resurface without that. The guy who ran the service couldn't offer any answers as to whether it was hacked or not so it probably was an impostor.

This is the last known Satotoshi's post. http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/forum/topics/bitcoin-open-source?commentId=2003008%3AComment%3A52186
People generally agree that this was real Satoshi and he just cut discussion of Dorian Nakamoto being Satoshi there. Whether it was real it is not we would never know.

I thought the fact that it was satoshi or someone else that hacked into his account is still being questioned?

during the dorian saga.  (dorian is not 'satoshi'- the bitcoin creator by the way)
'satoshi' - the bitcoin creator accessed his old email to make a messaged to debunk the dorian media theory. but....
the terms and conditions of his email got updated, which caused a 6 month no use policy to trigger which would release the email username to anyone.

so 6 months after the dorian saga, someone managed to time it right to 'reactivate' the account simply by signing up using the username which was now freely available. they then got old emails out of archive.

........... well thats the current theory of the whole drama of 2014

Why would we need satoshi to return? People would hunt him down like crazy, he wouldn't have any peace of mind, and wouldn't be able to develop Bitcoin further.

That being said, it's not impossible he's still there, on another name, working on other things Grin

i see so many people wanting satoshi to return so we can all give him thanks.

but the real question is... do you know the creator (the actual mastermind person) of bank notes.

would you have the same desire for the fiat creator to return
would you have the same desire to thank the fiat creator.

Very good point Smiley

People generally agree that this was real Satoshi

Only people that have no idea about signed/unsigned messages and hacked email accounts "generally" agree with that.

Bitcoin is not a bubble, it's the pin!

If I had $250 million in Bitcoins I would want to stay anonymous for the rest of my life. I doubt we will be hearing from him again.

he is working on bitcoin 2.0

That wouldn't make sense. If he was working on that, he would be committing his changes to the Bitcoin Core repo. Why keep it secret?

like the above poster said, maybe he's doesn't want to work with in public because he's afraid that he might be tracked. besides, he could be using a different name for all we know.

Posting as a different account makes sense, but “might be tracked”... well... he could have been tracked before. There's nothing different in this regard.

Yeah, it's generally a bad idea to be famous when you have THAT much money. What do you have to gain from it? absolutely ntohing.
