Every few days, bitcoind.exe will stop working when I start armory and to fix it, I have to manually start bitcoin core and rebuild the databases. Rebuilding always takes a long time, during which I cannot use my wallet. Is there some way to fix this so that bitcoind does not keep crashing?

I am running armory 0.93.1 and bitcoin core 0.10.0 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit

Turn off bitcoind auto management in File -> Settings. Run BitcoinQt manually. If the problem persists (and I expect it will), it means something is off with your machine.

I will try that after bitcoin core finishes building the databases. I will let you know in a few days if it works.

Bitcoind crashed again and I had to rescan and rebuild the database. Why does this happen?

This may be your hard drive's way of telling you that it's beginning to fail

Did you know there are 1,461,501,637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976 possible bitcoin addresses? To put that into perspective, that's greater than the width of the universe in zeptometers (10^-21 meter).

Er, anyone who knows Russian/cyrillic? I can't read your error.

I can guess. Bitcoin blockchain was corrupted when the electrcity turned off. In future, if you have spare hard disk space, make regular backups of bitcoin blockchain. This will save all the time it takes to synchronize bitcoin's blockchain.

Er, anyone who knows Windows home/user config settings are?  Cheesy

Go to: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory

It tells you how to find settings for bitcoin-qt blockchain location on Windows.

Start bitcoin-qt and it should ask you if you would like to rebuild and rescan the blockchain. Click OK and it will rebuild and fix the issue. After you are done, shut down bitcoin-qt and start armory.
