Can anyone specify that how many type of ban are there in this community and what should be done by a member to avoid a particular type of ban?
I think it will help lots of people in understanding the reason behind there account ban.
There are 5 days ban 14 days ban 30 days ban and also a permanent ban so please help the community member by making a full thread on this topic it will help people in understanding what should be done to avoid a particular ban
I think I will also decrease the number of banned account in the community with time
Thanks

Insubstantial posts + paid signature spam = 14 days, 60 days, permanent
Ban evasion = ban length x 2

Other than that I don't think it's written in stone. I can request 3 days ban for a user for small warning about changing their behavior.

In my opinion users who SPAM because of the paid signatures, they should have their signature banned (i.e. his signature becomes blank and cannot be edited anymore) instead of his whole account being banned. This is enough for them.

Yeah I think the same, we are discussing about this option in this thread :

Instead of banning the whole account, wouldn't be more effective to just remove the signature for a period of time? This will result in a denied payment from signature managers, and also should raise the posting quality, instead of creating more spamming sockpuppets from the banned users.

In case of repeated spamming i would continue to perma-ban as it already happens.

They should forfeit the privilege permanently. Many sig campaign participants have been saying they're simply being paid to do what they'd be doing anyway (manic posting). It would be interesting to see just how motivated they are to post if their meal ticket ( 0.1 monthly scrap or whatever they get) is taken away. I believe the majority would stop posting here entirely if sig ads were terminated.

What is the sentence for users who don't have a signature campaign but still seem to be cutting posts short? [Do you have to assume the account is being farmed to sell?]

Sometimes the ban is also for like 7days so I don't think that 14days is the minimum.

Accounts without any paid signatures usually go unnoticed and so the accounts which are being farmed don't "usually" get banned.
But I don't think admins like spamming for account farming and so if they catch any such account(s) then they ban it.
But at the same time its very difficult to identify such account and its not possible for BadBear to keep a check on each and every account, so to get those accounts banned you should report such accounts to badbear(via PM) and he will definitely investigate and take care of the report.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

There will be other criteria involved. BadBear will be able to see if there's many accounts and usually shows no mercy to users who are clearly just farming accounts by posting the minimum amount of rubbish. If you just log into your account once a fortnight to post in spammy off topic threads then it's likely you can expect a perma ban on all your accounts.

Besides those types of ban, I know a ban called ref link spam ban, several months ago, i was careless to post a ref link(at that time I didn't know ref link is not allowed in this forum). So I was banned in 3 days.

But sometimes I saw some threads or posts with ref link, i reported but it failed, those kind of threads or posts are not deleted, so I don't know why some ref link posts are not deleted?

There is a difference between announcing that you are using a ref link in a post and spamming ref links in multiple posts (not talking about you in particular).

4. No referral code (ref link) spam.

Not true, I'd argue that more people are banned for spamming without signatures than spamming with signatures daily. Its really up to what people report that decides how quickly we catch someone being disruptive. True that more people report others with paid advertising signatures, but we also catch a lot of people who are spamming either to farm accounts or prepare an account for a paid ad signature.

To respond to the OP, there is a ban for every type of rule that is broken, there isn't a set time frame for each ban type, it has to do with severity, frequency, etc.

I've seen people that posted 50+ times per day for weeks and they didn't get banned. Its not about quantity, its about quality. Its quite easy for moderators to see whether someone's post history is entirely spam, or if they just made a couple of insubstantial posts. On the flip side, someone could get banned for posting once per day. An Admin can remove a ban, however it is very infrequently done.
