You are probably cutting and pasting with HTML or some other extra characters in the paste. Try opening Notepad, paste the text into a new note, then cut from Notepad and paste it into brainwallet and it should work.

1. Go to Receive Money section of your wallet

If you weren't I'd dare to say there's a bug in that site. It should warn you about that.
