I think you can't join in the on going race tournament.
Because players are ranked from their rake contribution a week before the race tournament start.
So you need to wait for another race tournament.
but I'm not really sure..lets wait OP to give more details.

You'll get the points when you win the tournament race. 1point for each race..so if you're the first person who win 3x of the races you'll get 1btc.
Seems that "batusai" is leading this week tournament race with 2points (2x win) means that if he win today's race, he will get 1btc.
