every now and then there is someone who doesn't know any better and ends up lending money to a newbie who has a good story. It doesn't happen very often though. I am somewhat surprised that someone didn't try to lend to this guy as he was very good at BS'ing; he is a scammer though.

it wasn't that he was giving a lot of information, it was that he was good at making it sound like what he was offering as collateral had actual value when it did not and he had no problem with lying through his teeth about your ability to sell what he was offering as collateral.
