I think admins are able to do it by themselves if they need to make an Official Bitcointalk.org Facebook page.
I voted NO since I am a Twitter fan.

Voted: NO ,

Because I think the actual forum doesn't need a facebook page, there is reddit and twitter and a facebook option is not good. However I think you can create one, but you must write "unofficial" in the name of that page.

+1. I am also afraid of newbies coming here to make official things instead of admins. A newbie doing just that look to me as trying to build up trust & reputation from the community.

No because the forum already has a Twitter page and the page is updated very rarely so it would be tough for the admin to manage a FB page as well.

There seems to be no use for a facebook page. Majority of the discussions happen on the forum itself, and people have profiles here. Facebook pages are only for promotion and I am sure it will be pointless.

The forum itself and the twitter account is useful. I am sure there will already be a reddit page for it as well.

I voted for no...
Because, as i know there's official twitter account of bitcointalk, so it's better if it's just one social media account to take care of...
If they have two media social accounts... It'll hard to take care two of them, maybe one of them will post nothing...

Really? Noo I don't want any fb fanpage and twitter account or any other chat box for this forum. Because
It would be difficult for admin and staff to manage those pages. And clear them from scammer.
I think this is the best place if you want to talk with some one.
Thirdly it will decrease the importance of the forum.

I voted no. I think that the twitter page is enough to post updates when the forum is down. Let's not forget that this is a discussion forum and having a facebook page for it would be like having a fan club for a fan club. Besides, from an ideological perspective, while the forum promotes anonymity and free speech, facebook encourages publishing lots of information and filtering of said information to keep it often only positive.

Yeah. I can't imagine many people wanting to like it or even comment on it due to privacy concerns either. At least you don't have to use your real name and put all your personal details on Twitter.

Voted for no. Twitter is enough.

No, I don't know whats the advantages of having a twitter and facebook for btctalk.org

It will help to give important announcements. If you see Bitcointalk Twitter account, you will understand.

I don't think that facebook page is s good idea. I voted no, and I see that majority of people here have the same idea. We don't need facebook page at all. We can manage on our own here on bitcointalk just fine.

Every new site actually has some site that can able to make a promotion for it
Since bitcointalk has a twitter, having another facebook is not bad at all instead it expand more exposure to promote it

I am in favour of making a facebook page because there are more facebook users than users on twitter/reddit and so I guess a facebook page is necessary.
But at the same time I don't want a newbie to create a facebook page for the forum, I would want the admins to do it themselves.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
