Great, thanks and no problem doing them for devcoins. No problem with changes, anything of similar size and construction would work out more or less the same price. Do you have a weight on them? I can check what Ireland, UK and mainland Europe shipping prices work out at tomorrow.
EDIT: My bad, mainland Europe is already catered for by glari.ch Can work out a weight on them if its not at hand, they aren't as big as I thought so postage not so much of an issue.
glari.ch is not realy mainland europe, not in a political sense, we are sovereign and get treated this way, means we have only bilateral agreements with europe, so shipping to europe is more cheap from europe itself. Indeed there is no problem with changes, the only thing that should be clear, is that every further development has to be published. When you would like to deliver worldwide, you are free to do so. DVB is more GPL development oriented and less on the marketing side. We dont regulate the market, but if you like to support us you are free to do so by supporting our projects in any way you like

Anything I do is free to copy, trouble is engineers and such are even more reluctant to do documentation than developers Smiley If anyone wants anything made by me please insist on documentation before payment if its not an existing design.
Does it make any difference accepting devcoin only payments? I've been interested in this for a while but haven't gone into it much, the metal printing is something I've been thinking on for a long time though. It should be possible with electrolysis/electroplating, it would take a long time but very high accuracy should be possible. Devcoin only payment would be great for the devcoin project since that would be an other thing to help rise the demand for devcoins. 3D Metal plating, would be just awesome, but i guess we are some years away to be able to make that for the same price as ordinary cnc in terms of stability, accuracy and working hours

Logged in ok, thanks. Not sure what way to add files, should it be a sub-project of qcool?
yes please create a subproject

Ok, created. Couldn't add files for some reason, clicking add had no effect. Created a document and added files to it instead. Site's very slow atm but nicely featured, anything planed to simplify version control and licensing?
Thanks. What browser are you using with that add files error, you should be able to add files same way as documents in your project. Files added by admin http://www.glari.ch:3000/projects/ajs001/files

Then I'll have to find some one to test it, any volunteers? I'll supply this one for 500k DVC including shipping. You have your volunteer, please pm me your DVC Address. I'm also not happy with one block covering 2 chips, ideally the chips would need to be lapped as they aren't guaranteed to be level so 2 separate blocks would be a simpler solution. When that's done there will always be other areas that could be improved, it could be simpler to ask the chip manufacturer to incorporate sodium cooling channels into their chip design Wink You are right. But good silver cooling paste helps to level this problem. By now we are in a situation when ASIC finaly will arrive https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90880.msg1400403#msg1400403 so the device can be tested on that hardware aswell. Such things as sodium cooling channels, would be awesome when possible to incorporate. Unterstützung means Support Entwicklung means Development..

sent I've done nothing with mountings, M3 x 40 screws and 4 short springs should be all it needs, do you have some or do you want some sent with it? (I'll have to order them so there may be a delay). Same for the fittings, I can get the push in type used for hard tube or sleeved soft tube easily but would need to order other types, do you need them supplied with it? For this testing now i have my own m3 screws here so no worries, but the finished product for the customer should be delivered with screws, springs and fittings. This thing should have plenty of capacity for ASIC's, I'm a fair way along with another version for universal mounting though. Its aimed at CPU's for now as it's a much easier base for comparative performance testing. That needs to cover a square 28mm each side and that's a bit big for the FGG484 package in the Lancelot board (23mm square) but would fit ok. Any idea what sized package will be used for the Avalon chips as it would be worth scaling down if they're smaller than the FPGA's. I have no information about this yet But as soon the avalon boards are here.. When we know more, of course i will provide you all data neded.

Stan, when i draw the watercooling element for AVALON, are you in to machine it? Yifu told me that the boards run actualy not more then 57°C hot with the actual air cooling, but this is just when they operate under normal conditions like 25°C Roomtemperature, the cooling elements by now are huge and accoring to me dnt allow the PSU a proper airflow, so there is probably more nose produced by the PSU then normal. Do you have any chance to metalplate with TiO2 at least from inside? Icoin

There should be no problem machining that, does double materials cost in DVC sound ok? I've nothing for TiO2 plating, I can shop around here for it if you want but it looks like a fairly large lump so if the cost is high I would prefer to try out any company here on something small first (hard to find good platers here). Is it to big to do in copper?
Would it be worth linking the drawings up to the QCool stuff I have on git? If the first QCool block could be put on git I'd like to link that project as a progression from it, is it hosted anywhere now to at least add a link?
Thanks, hope the qcool block is performing ok.
EDIT: I'm mystified by the TiO2 plating, I'd assumed it was for corrosion protection with good thermal conductivity but most of the info coming up is for photovoltaic uses, its for this project?
yes basical you are right TiO2 plating is used for photovoltaik, but i see the purpose in corrosion protection and expansion of the exposed surface to water. Your material cost plan sounds ok. According to the dimensions its probably not fundable to build it in copper, so we should stay with our dev material alu in first place. Im sure we can work with simple aluminium for the first models, but later we have to find a solution for the corrosion problem. Since the plans for the AVALON QCool element gonna be public source, yes would be great to link it on github Are you able to deal with 3D Models or your prefer plans in DWG Format

DVB is backing the rebuild of a ROBOY by using DVC. More Info soon on https://www.devda.chROBOY will be developed in record time – only 9 months! The renowned Artificial Intelligence Lab at the University of Zurich will host ROBOTS ON TOUR, a robotics fair, in Zurich on March 8, 2013 for its 25 year anniversary. During this fair, the joint team of academia and industry will meet their ambitious goal and present ROBOY!
Development of ROBOY (mechanic and software) will be conducted via Open Source. This means that all expertise, ideas and inventions will not belong to one specific entity, and everyone will have the chance to advance ROBOY's technology. ROBOY will be the ideal research platform for pioneering research into robotics, and will be advanced further through the AI Lab at Zurich University and other leading research institutions beginning soon after ROBOTS ON TOUR.
Please help us support this open source project http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UYmOBpvSfMQhttp://www.roboy.org

I'm trying to install bitcoin-QT on my RPI and when I run the make command, I get an error saying: Nothing to be done for 'first'. Now I'm a complete newb at linux, so I'm not familiar with how things work. Can anyone give a hand and let me know how to set it up?

If you wanna know more, google "electrochemical activated water" or order your example 250 ml EAW Concentrate for DVC, NMC, LTC or BTC. Contact eaw ad glari.ch DVB Challange: The challange to get the data published trough DVB - 1M DVB Shares a 250 DVC each are issued. When all 250 priced DVB shares are sold before the 1000 0.5 BTC ECA shares - the data on defcad.org will reference to Devcoin. Should DVB reach the given target first, ECA will refund trough dividends payment. The gained funds will be used for 3D printing equipment aquisition.

Hmm.. how does this raise the coins to pay the dividends? It sounds more like it is for giving out bounties? The first post just ore or less seems a writeup on devcoin itself, not the fund.
