I tried baking it... So far nothing.
Do you bake @ 385'F for 8 minutes?
I have a gas oven and I wonder if I should increase the temp and length it stays in the oven.

^^I wouldnt just start baking for longer and longer... Do you have a meat thermometer or an infrared thermometer (one of those handheld guns) that you could use to check the temperature of your oven after its preheated? Check the temp before you put it in and if it gets anywhere between 385-400 you are probably fine.
Sometimes it doesn't work...

Yeah I don't think it worked. I did heat it a second time at a little higher temp. Have yet to test it.

2 msi 6990's going here. Just the cards, No boxes
Both mine just fine, no problems ever.
Downclocked and fan speed never went over 65%, heat levels were well managed on them.
I'll take BTC for them.
Have a think. Im off on holiday for a week on sunday.

I have a Visiontek 5850. As of this morning the fan spins up, but there is no longer video output. I do not see any blown caps or obvious brown spots on the board.   Interested? |

I'll be moving a lot of cards in about a month. What's your timeframe for buying? A few with broken fans that I haven't gotten around to ordering replacements for. 6950s , 5970s, 5870s and 5830s.
I was prepared to create some gaming rigs and sell them for the holidays, but things are delayed and GPUs are still barely profitable, so on they go.

5870 which does nothing. I don't know what's wrong with it. It doesn't have a fan anymore and I'm pretty sure there aren't screws left for the reference cooler.
5970 which is not recognized and there's no picture of course. Green lights go on on the GPU so at least some parts of are working.
5970 with a wrong bios and two small parts removed (parts that contain the bios, I still have them)
