No, sorry I can't stop. I "must" recover that loss and gain another 15 btc for pay all my debt. Bitcoin is an extremely and huge world and I want to gain how much I can.

It is your call. I really hope that you might turn out to be extra-ordinarily lucky, and might be able to gamble back your investment without much trouble.

Discuss how much you have lost and how.

Oh the pain that i feel when i think about it lol! I have lost around 25btc for several reasons, I’ve lost at least 10btc on gambling! I have had my computer crash without a back up in my early days in BTC Another 12BTC I have been scammed by altcoins and in the digital goods 'my fault not using escrow' I have earned about that back from trading and getting lucky on a few alt coins but still not nice remembering you could have that extra if you would have used your brain.

That reminds me of my original bitcoin investment and how i lost it. I had an old Dell duocore laptop i used to cold storage my bitcoins. i have two laptops at the time, the one i still have and the one i had then. i had a laptop baggy foreach. identical bags, with a front pouch. in one of the pouches, i kept a usb drive with a text file of all the private keys for my cold storage addresses. just in case that something happened to my cold storage laptop. I was storing approximately 325 btc on this cold storage computer. i bought at less than 3 dollars a coin, so thats not a huge investment.

Now here's what happened:

A supposed friend showed up early one morning and asked if he could borrow my computer. i said sure, just take it to the living room and surf, but i'm going back to sleep. when i woke up, my pc was sitting on my desk, but my cold storage laptop was gone along with its carrying case. When they caught the guy, he was high on crak, having traded my laptop for about 25 dollars worth of crack. he never rolled on his dealer, and to this day i wonder what happened to my bitcoins and my laptop. If i would have had that pc when bitcoin hit its high of $1150 a coin, i would be a fairly wealthy man right now. Later on the guy apologized to me "You had two laptops bro, i figured you wouldn't miss the old one much" was his excuse.

That's an insane story... Not even lying... I mean... wow. That's why I don't store those amounts of coins on real computers, but rather in paper wallets that are distributed safely in different places Cheesy Don't have that much, anyways, though...

This put a smile on my face and made any of my losses not really matter because i came to terms with them and will not chase my losses if you do as the guy above it will not end up good.

You will chase and lose more and more until you have nothing left to chase with that is what happens the majority of the time and someone hoping different for you does not matter.

Your best bet is to work and earn the money back to pay debts etc i lost about the same on one experience (own fault) and earned it back threw work if i would have gambled i would lose everything as 95% do, good luck finding it back to reality..

Oh wow! What are the chances of that so sorry to hear that makes my loss seem irrelevant, sad times indeed!

The crappy thing you just know that the dealer or whoever he sold it to had no idea that the coins was on there so they are lost forever.

I bet that hurt when the price when to 1000+ i would be tempted to take him hostage and make him get it back for $500+ but gather it was long gone by then Sad

Did you manage to build up some coin again before the bubble?

The only Bitcoin that I've lost is when inputs.io pulled their little scheme. Otherwise, I've been solid. At least the inputs.io incident taught me even storing very small amounts is a bad idea. I can't remember the exact amount but it was no more than 10.

Even I lost around 5 in one of the exchange but I didn't mind that I got it by one of my friend at very cheap rate.

1 Bitcoin in Paycoin Scam
Must suck lossing a whole Bitcoin, it's really hard to obtain an entire Bitcoin for most of us out there.
I've lost about 0.1 something and that sucked big time alone.

I'm sorry that you lost out. Can you see a pattern forming here? Everyone's trying to spell it out for you.

See if you have a pre early 2014 private key, claim some clams and throw them away if you really can't stop gambling. Destroying free money will feel a whole lot better.

So far I've been fortunate and haven't been scammed or hacked out of any Bitcoin losses (knock on wood).

Fiat value of Bitcoin's I'm still holding is another discussion, but haven't lost any BTC from a scam, hack, theft, or exchange insolvency.   Smiley

You have either been lucky or clever because i too have lost a fair few bitcoin, mainly altcoin investments and gambling gone very wrong or just got carried away and not paying attention to the signs> if something seems to good to be true then it usually is. So many scams and schemes took awhile for me to realize. Total losses at a underestimate guess 10btc Sad at the value of $500+

@malevolent  i am going to google Andrew Nollan i have not been around long enough to know what he done or who he is lol

So far, no losses.  I haven't been hacked, I haven't been scammed, and I've gambled only at very short odds against people making really stupid bets - I have won every time so far.

That said, I am at least a little bit crazy (Diagnosed as "monopolar depressive and incompletely socialized", for those who care about such things), and while this helps me not get scammed and hacked, it also helps me lose out on a lot of things that could be good.

Part of not being scammed is seeing the worst possible motivations for pretty much every communication people make.  My depressive mind sort of assumes people with an investment opportunity are almost always scamming.  As a result I miss out on things that turn out to be good investments as well as things that turn out to be scams.  F'rexample I was one of the first ten people who ever heard about Bitcoin, even reviewed the code before it launched, could have CPU mined thousands and thousands back in the day, and I didn't have a thing to do with it until four years later.  D'oh!

And part of not being hacked is not keeping bitcoins on anything that's electronic and hooked up to the Internet, not running browser scripts (which breaks about half the sites out there), not using a mail client that has clickable links or automates calendar functionality or shows HTML mail, and not installing programs or browser extensions that aren't from one of my three or four trusted sources, even if they seem interesting and useful, on my networked machine.  So I also miss out on a fair amount of what's "normal and useful" by keeping my networked machine secure.
