What does DOA stand for?

I've seen this in the context of P2Pool stales, specifically here.

I assume Dead on Arrival like DOA means in other terms but I am guessing.

What does DOA stand for?

I've seen this in the context of P2Pool stales, specifically here.

It probably means that the share is dead on arrival, so stale, since it is invalid.
However, the Bitcoin wiki really is a bad place to look for information; a lot of info there is outdated and makes no sense.

Dead On Arrival which means you received  a bad product, it happen's or non working product or it does not work out of the Box. Smiley.

I did it means  the same not working when you got it , in other words a orphaned share. etc it is a universal term it apply's all most the same but in a diff contexts here.
