Help us design this system:

A few of us have been playing various games around the web and betting bitcoins. We use honesty to make good on bets and threads to advertise games we want to play and keep track of results.

How can we run a better system?  Things we need to make the system run better:

1.) Escrow system

2.) A list of players who are willing to play X game for X amount of bitcoins (Perhaps a google spreadsheet?) threads dont work well because people get lost on page 56 wanting to play backgammon or something. (The list needs neutral hierarchy) Maybe we could do this system in a thread with a bot?

Another problem is people might want to play a game within a certain window of time, so the system needs to allow people to mark themselves available or away.

3.) There will be scams/mistakes but we can get this down to like 0.01% using feedback and logic just like ebay would.  Example: 2 people report they won a game, person A = dave who has a positive history with the system, person B = a newbie.  Money goes to Dave.

Also please consider most people are playing for like 0.001 a game or something, scams are a waste of time.

Gambit.com runs p2p games for bitcoin (not sure if you can actually gamble bitcoin) but people like to play other games from around the web, they are much better tbh, sorry gambit.com.

Point 3 I think is not ok!
I would not play with a newbie at least we use scrow.
I think ppl could play amounts depend reputation on the forum...
That is what I would do.

Well.... lets say the newbie has sent money to the escrow account before X game has started then the chances of him scamming are almost zero.  We could make a rule that any newbie basically wont be trusted much until they've built reputation so we suggest all newbies dont play for large amounts else they might get scammed by someone who has built trust in the system ?

Hows that?

I don't mind playing with anybody really as long as:
1. He is Full member or above status.
2. He already have escrowed bitcoins ready to be claimed in case he would lose.

I don't bet anything higher that that 0.01 usually so scammers won't earn much anyway...

Maybe the scrow should be monitoring the game and get fee for that task? 3% for example?

Even if they are a newbie account though lets say they have recorded 100 games with the system and they've always reported back same results as opponents, seems like you could trust them on game #101 for 0.01.

I dont fully understand google spreadsheet, perhaps someone could explain what it could do for us & what it cant.

Monitoring is impossible in many games and also time consuming, i dont think we can do this without creating a site like gambit.com which basically sucks for other reasons, sorry gambit Sad

The escrow could take tips at first or run on a comission basis sure, im much more interested in getting something working and getting the idea out there, i want to play it myself.

Then you have to make the judgement call on if you want to play them for that high, we need feedback history.

Maybe we could do this with a bitcointalk thread bot which edits OP, i put up a post in technical support to ask:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1017060.msg11018159#msg11018159
We'd still need to run an escrow on top.

My Idea:

There Should Be a Site Where there are Few Games are mentioned.
People Go these Game and click on it, After that Enter the Bet amount and Send the Bitcoin to the site. And when the winner won the Game The BTC Should be paid to the Winner automatically.
There should be Chat room on the same Site.

Thanks

With larger bets maybe a referee of some sort could work. A person would watch the game and confirm the win for a small tip taken from the bet pool. This person might also act as escrow.
I don't know what games you're talking about, but some competitive esport games record replays or at least stats, so it''s easy to confirm the win.

We will most likely need a person to act as escrow and act as a referee if there is a dispute.

These kinda games we have talked about so far but it could be any p2p game:

http://www.miniclip.com/games/8-ball-pool-multiplayer/en/

Some games p2p @ royalgames.com

9 ball pool

backgammon was mentioned

http://www.miniclip.com/games/soccer-stars-mobile/en/

playcurling.com

Some games can be viewed, some cant, observing games live seems impossible unless there was big money around then yeah, observing stats after cool.
