The major news of Bitcoin 2 is that they will replace the proof of work with proof of laziness.

What? We have to prove our laziness now? But I'm too lazy to bother proving my laziness!

Who said *you* were coding it? What do you think Satoshi has been doing all this time?  Wink

Ah I forgot the awesome that was this thread.  The good "ole" days.  Historical note: anything in 2012 is the old timey Bitcoin with steam powered mining rigs, nodes hooked up by telegraph, and a rush to build the transcontinental blockchain.

My friend heard it from a tech guy at his school and texted it to me

I'm not going to believe it till it's been retweeted on Twitter.

EDIT: Nevermind!

After reading the changes they want to make I would be inclined to call it Failcoin 2.

Bitcoin 2 will quantum teleport gold atoms.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Bitcoin 2 works with ATM networks- withdrawals from a Bitcoin ATM on any major debit card (Visa, Mastercard) are treated like withdrawals of foreign currency.

Bitcoin 2 is a funny name for an alt coin.

From my limited understanding the new code wont work well and will add bloat.

There are reasons why this stuff was rejected from both btc and ltc.

Let me know when they have it working on testnet. Hopefully before block 420000.

Bitcoin combines money, the wrongest thing in the world, with software, the easiest thing in the world to get wrong.

So what's the third type of people?  (you said there were 11)

11=2 in binary

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.
