There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It's Mtgoxlive too.

The Mt Gox WebAPI fails to deliver the live data stream to anyone. It's been going on for about 5 hours now. You'll get the summary and nothing else.

I'm talking with them right now about this and looks like I will have to pay to them for using their API (>100USD/month for one market). So looks like MtGoxUSD will be gone from free version.

It makes sense that was the case since they started goxing you during the first big move after you started charging. See what you started bzzrd?
