I realize there are a lot of scammers out there but I've been trying to buy .25 btc for three days now and can't seem to find anyone that will sell it too me.  I'm not going to pay a 100 - 150% markup over current market value like some of the sellers seem to be looking for.

I'm willing to be pretty flexible.  I am paypal verified (realize that's the least desirable), Amazon Payments, Western Union.  I'm also open to other suggestions.

Have you tried buying bitcoins with credit card? It's quite easy to buy bitcoins with a credit card. Here is a guide below:

Well, paypal -> easily reversible; I could help you with WU but that would be on monday and it would be really high fees. You could try neteller, webmoney, skrills and payza but you have to load them via bank wire so people could trade freely without the fear of reversals.

It boggles my mind why these threads are still being created. It's not 2010 anymore.

What country are you in? There'll be highly trusted people on this forum willing to send you coins after you do a bank deposit/transfer for them.
I will get you the btc you require if you are in Oz Smiley     (if you consider my trustworthy that is of course)

This lol. I wish it was as easy when I started, and you dont need to go all the way back to 2010. 2012 and even a part of 13 was still a bit of a pain in the ass. But 2015 is pretty easy.

I've heard few scary stories about localbitcoins lately and about sellers there faking their feedback so be sure to stay safe and don't relase the funds prior to getting btc.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

Local BTC s your best option. If you want to use CC, you can try cex.io as well but you ll get charged at least 5% and need to go through a verification process.

Come on, buying bitcoin never was as easy as in the last 6 months!
Selling bitcoin may be tricky in some countries / cities, but buying, really, 3 days and offering 150%?

If you'd use some payment methods that can be trusted, this would have been done from day 1.

Honestly said.
Buying bitcoin is very easy if you use money that belongs to you tand rade honestly. Try out some exchanges, however most of them do want to verify your ID.

you just sign up a exchange, as lakebtc, coinbase, you could buy a few amount of bitcoin without verification.
okay, you may pay the 0.1% fee, but this is a quite way to buy.

I think the main problem is that 99% of the people got used to dealing with Paypal. It s accepted everywhere and it takes 2 min to pay anything.
You still cant buy BTC with Paypal, Payzaa s got this option but funds must not come from your credit card. They plan to improve this soon as well.

I can understand your frustration as you are a newer member, so the currency exchange forum, or this forum for that matter, isn't your best bet. Perhaps using major exchanges are your best bet. They won't screw you with the ridiculous fees that you're seeing on the forums. Additionally, you could purchase a type of gift card from a local gas station of sorts and sell it on the forums. Would probably be losing 10-15 percent on the resale, but, it is easier than going to an exchange in my opinion. If you did chose to go down this route, receipts is something you should keep to prove they were legitimately bought.
