Hey, redsn0w here!

If you want a loan you may request it here (don't send me a PM).

Use this format :

Code:
[b]Loan Amount:[/b]
[b]Amount to be repaid:[/b]
[b]Repayment Date:[/b]
[b]Collateral:[/b]
[b]Reason:[/b]
[b]Bitcoin Address:[/b]

*For the collateral, I may give some loan without taking a valid collateral but only at my discretion.

Thread self-moderated (as you can see).

I would suggest giving each person a different address to repay to so it is very clear if someone pays you back or not. When everyone pays to the same address, two people could claim that they repaid you when really one did, but it would be hard to say for sure which one did

edit: congratulations on starting to lend and good luck with your loans Smiley

Hmm.. you are right. From the next loan I will give an unique and univocal address to each user. Thanks for your appreciation, and good luck too you.

You can easily catch which one of the two is lying.
You can simply ask them to sign a message from the address from which they repaid the loan. The person who will make false claims will be in a high risk of getting himself negative reputation, so I guess there will be a very few full/sr./hero members who would do such a thing.
Also, giving a new address to each and every person is time consuming. But your loans, your choice.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

What will happen if an user/s will send money from an exchange or a service that doesn't allow you to know a private key (of that address)? You will not be able to sign a message.

Also, giving a new address to each and every person is time consuming. But your loans, your choice.

I think the rule | 1 address = 1 loan | is pretty good, and it will not be a problem because you can generate an address with a simple click of the mouse (and give it a label, it depends also from which client/wallet are you using).

Thanks for your opinion.

Yup, "1 address = 1 loan" is good. However, you should take care of impersonators. It is not that hard to find who is lying. I personally like to use 1 address for all loans except if borrower ir escrow asks it.

Good luck lending! Hope there won't be any problems for you.

being a new member, will a 0.210 TH/s Genesis-Mining account suffice as a collateral for a 30-day 0.15 BTC loan with 10% interest?

i'll use the amount to restore some GH/s to my bit-x account.

Hi,

Sorry I really can't help you. I do not know 'Splatters' or 'kelpy' and I've never trade with them. Try to ask someone else always here in the lending section (maybe you will be lucky).

Seems like you started a lending service to other users here in this forum. I'm hoping for your success and may you not encounter people who aren't good on their word.

Good luck on the lending service! Hope you prosper in this thing. Wink
