Hi.

I remember there was a time when the network was flooded with lots of 1 satoshi transactions. Did anyone checked if they had any meaningfull first letters in them?

Call me a junkie but I was looking for my nickname on firstbits.com (it is kinda slow) and found that there were transactions (that grab the funny address name). It is 5 chars long so I doubt it is accidental especially that it sits in a transaction next to other 216 outputs with kinda readable words.

They stem from here: http://blockchain.info/tx-index/999513/797378b76f3a3a689d73c6bbadb4b09443e8aa04be6e3152615f02688ab60949

That's the furthest back I went.

Looking through that list, I noticed a lot of 1pct and 1pnt addresses... those seemed odd to me.  Not anything particularly special, so why were they "saved"?

I'm working on the speed of firstbits, until it improves I recommend blockchain.info for firstbits lookups.
