I'll repeat it again : those who invested with pirate are incredibly stupid and deserve to lose all their investments.
The only thing I regret is that the rest of the community suffers from a price crash because of this.

Getting my popcorn ready. This pirate thing is amusing as fuck.

Why don't you bend over and walk backwards into a wall of dicks, k?  And by "k" I mean eat a bowl of dicks.

Stupid indeed, eventually greedy and naive but nobody deserves to get robbed.
In the end it would be nice if the community works together to unstealth suspicious service and investments.

just to clear something up: it maybe easy to register a business without ID, but no bank will open a business account if you don't present them ID for the same name to which business was registered.
Who needs banks when you deal in cash?

kind of hard to move hard cash into online exchanges/otc
Maybe he hasn't made it very clear, but it is my understanding that this is all cash-in-person type stuff. I recall a description of a transaction that basically consisted of someone bringing him a suitcase full of cash at a meeting point, and then he would go home and send the coins. I can't find it in my IRC logs or anywhere though, so maybe I imagined it, or maybe my search skills suck.

sometimes cash just means money in whatever form, e.g. bills, checks, wires

supposedly person Z has business registered to a fake name; this person then gets suitcase of bills in exchange of bitcoins, now this person needs to get bitcoins with cash. question how do you do it online on exchanges/otc without proper banking account for that fake business name? how would he turn paper bills into digital form without banking? WU/moneypacks/etc isn't an option moving $100k's a week

Im with bitlane on this one. Telling people you owe money to that they should "fucking respect" you when you ask them a simple question about why they havent paid their debt on time almost never works.  Smiley

You know that it was because of bitlane that the default "closing down" occurred in the first place?  Grin
Heh. Pirateat40 was actually hinting in IRC that he knew he was going to have to shut the thing down even before bitlane's withdrawal request and that's why bitlane's withdrawal was slow.

i thought it was "bag of dicks". Never seen a "bowl of dicks".  they usually come in bags. example: "eat a bag of dicks, you dirty little cuntslapper."

Are you done with your bowl already? Ok, well go lay on a beach of dicks.  A few hundred is the answer to your question.  Not as many as some though.

Seems pirate has some troubles with payouts and could use some help... Perhaps he should consider hiring the Intersango guys to take on reimbursement? I hear they do a mighty fine job.

A few hundred

Well if you got some left you can always bet 250 in Matthews thread to cut your losses. Still pretty bad though  Shocked

Did you think it is a genuine operation or did you just hope to have started early enough?

Since when did matthew have 10,000 btc to toss around with betting? To get involved with that shows extra bad judgment on top of messin with pirate.

I glanced at the thread again and i do not see him admit it. To set up a bet of that nature is tacky. He always struck me as unstable and jyst wanting to be with the in crowd one way or another. Sad.

Well done, bitlane.

You really know how to make your payment the lowest priority.

How could you possibly think making so many agressive threads would help?

yep bitlane, suck up, it will speed up your payment.

+1

A distinct lack of character and maturity.  The kind of disgusting display you would expect from a bunch of drunken frat boys.
Doesn't reflect too well on the Bitcoin community imo...

.....LOL
and if I don't suck it up, it will only serve to increase the amount owed and/or at least get Vandroiy paid.
