I bet most of the laughter has already taken place. Maybe left one more week of laughs. Then it will just get quieter.

*crickets.wav*

I'll take that bet!  I'm very optimistic that the best laughs are still to come, especially when The Bets are decided.

I fear they may not be heard through the thick blanket of quiet sorrow and false hope.

It's unclear if pirate is named in the thread title and unclear if he has shafted anybody...but midland Texas has something to say about trendon shavers use of checks:

To set up a bet of that nature is tacky...

+1

A distinct lack of character and maturity.  The kind of disgusting display you would expect from a bunch of drunken frat boys.
Doesn't reflect too well on the Bitcoin community imo...

I think there may be a generation gap kinda thing here. I respect Matthew's move. I think he is wrong and perhaps not too good with math, but I respect that he had a belief and is putting his money where his mouth is.

I might be wrong, and I'm bad at math (I'm enjoying the lesson!) but I respect that you respect me for respecting myself enough to respectfully stand up. Respect.

So tell us bitlane how many bitcoins did you "invest" into Pirate?

Obviously less than everyone who is keeping quiet and shitting themselves.......

Here's the problem:

I am a bit Old School' when it comes to stuff like this.
When you say you are going to do something, you DO IT.

People at times are far too satisfied to eat a mouth full of shit and even ask for seconds, when they are at the mercy of another party.
I am simply NOT one of those people.

Feed me shit once...I might taste it.
Feed me shit again and I will throw it back in your face.

So,  you too went the "shitting themselves" way?

Now you are just trying to be cute. So, what are you going to do? Use imaginary team from a TV show is not a answer.
Am I right if I say "You are going to do or have done exactly nothing"? Lots of yapping but no bite?

Interesting tidbit from one of those threads. Seems that Crazyblane could give a search radius for Pirateat40.

Bitlane is the hero bitcointalk.org deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

or possibly just an idiot. or maybe even a sockpuppet for pirate to drive the prices up or down.

This would be pretty funny.
That sentence alone deserves special attention.
