one thing I've noticed lately is a number of coins that I thought were dead are still going strong, like Zeit, mint, ECCoin, Energy, Fair .. and many others. Their prices are in the toilet, and all of those would be classed as 'shit coins' by many, but they've all survived 2014 intact mostly. Once the bear market ends and bitcoin goes up who knows what will happen to these coins. I simply have no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of those coins X100. That's like going from marketcap 20K USD to 2Million USD when bitcoin reaches 20-30 billion marketcap. Even in the next bull run I can't see bitcoin doing X100 (i.e.going to 25K USD per coin). Some of the alts are still worth hodling. Price is not a measure of future success, and with clones it's really about community, so if you check a coin thread that's a year old and people still post regularly, then it's still got value.
