I'm glad you are happier on slushs pool, there needs to be a diversity of pools all competing their hashing power. However the PPS drop doesn't seem to be a reason to make a thread really.

How can you even compare PPS on deepbit to slush, you should compare prop on deepbit to slush at the very least.

I have no idea what the reason is, perhaps related to higher pool hashrate but I am consistently earning more every 24hr cycle on deepbit compared to slush, comparing an account on both running each at 350mhash/s for testing sake.

If you're referring to me, I didn't say he couldn't make a thread, I just said it was stupidly pointless to do so for such an irrelevant topic. Perhaps I should have added IMHO. As people seem to find little modifiers for some reason mollifying.

Like if I said "No offense, but this is the stupidest thread in the world", normally someone would be mad at that obvious insult, but I said no offense, making it better.

It's pretty simple actually.

Finding a block will now take finding 434883 "shares" on average. So deepbit earns 50BTC + fees for every ~434883 shares found by participating miners. Compare this to a week ago, where less than 300000 shares were needed on average to find a block.

Since the reward for finding a block stays the same, but the amount of shares needed to find one increases, it's quite logical that deepbit pays less per share than a week ago.

Yeah, but Deepbit has dropped their payout from 0.0004 to 0.0001 over the past ~3-4 weeks. That's ridiculous. I can't believe there are so many people on deepbit.

... That's because difficulty increased 4 times in this period. Deepbit doesn't set the payout however they want, they divide the block reward by the difficulty and deduct a constant 10% fee.

number of people on deepbit has nothing to do with that

you mining for a month now (basing on your post) and still don't understand what difficulty is?

I think he meant, he doesn't know why anybody would continue to pay more with deepbit.

10% of 0.0001 is also 4 times less than 10% of 0.0004... if it was ok 1 month ago, it should be ok right now too...?

This increase of difficulty on 80 % has made for me unprofitable to continue.
It is ready to give the last 2.76 BTC to the one who will send me 0.1 BTC (I will send on the same address)
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

This is a scam, do not fall for it.
