usagi requested some logotypes and banners be completed for some of his companies here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=97172.0
All relevant quotes are listed below.

In summary we made an agreement on the 2nd of August (1) where he requested a logotype and banner be completed “rush” and “asap”. I completed a logotype and a basic banner as requested (2) and he clearly stated his satisfaction with the logos not only in statement, but by offering to pay 50% of the total project cost. (2) Who pays money for a project they don't approve of? He then clearly states that he would like to move forward with the banner (2).

I then update the logo, attempting the sail design as requested, but the concept is a visually boring bunch of boxes, so I ditch the idea and update the fonts as requested (3) and then complete a basic banner with the modified logo requested on “rush” (4) I contact him 3 times over a period of 9 days with no reply (5) I then work on an animated banner which was completed to its current state (6) on the 17th just after I sent my last contact before his reply.

On the 18th, 9 days after his last reply, he notifies me he no longer needs the work (7) he makes no mention of any form of compensation, and after I ask to be compensated he proceeds to become extremely adversarial and begins talking about using some Bitcoin court which I have never heard of or have any interest in participating in.

At this point I have completed the large majority of the hours required for this project. He clearly approves of the logo and requests work on a banner, as well as offers partial payment for the project. He feels because he cancels the project after most, but not all of the work is completed, I have therefore not met the approval standards for ANY payment.

If I had canceled this agreement I would not expect any compensation, but he clearly APPROVES the logo design and asks for additional work then later decides he wants to cancel the agreement after work is complete on the logo and basic banner. An agreement is called an agreement so that one of the parties doesn't simply change their mind later after time and resources are wasted leaving the other party who operated in good faith paying the bills for some one else's mistake.  I am sorry your company is collapsing – but that was not my mistake.

In this case I not only spent the majority of the development time on the logo, I passed up other jobs in order to complete this project. In conclusion, I would normally charge $100 for a basic non-rush logotype design. This project was a RUSH, in addition a basic banner was completed and significant progress was made on an animated banner. COMPLETELY DISREGARDING the cost of the banners and the rush order, I would normally charge $100 in Bitcoin for a completed logotype WHICH HAS BEEN PROVIDED AS REQUESTED AND APPROVED OF BY USAGI.

I have attempted a civil resolution to this problem but usagi is extremely confrontational clearly not interested in honoring his agreements, so this post seems to be the only resort.

Therefore usagi should render a payment equivalent to $100 in Bitcoins to: 1BBDrjFdoKSQqXgAmSt5Ng5RHNvTytiqey     in order to honor the agreement he made with me, or be marked as a scammer as a person who has committed theft of service, just like any other form of scammer we have here.

Hello,
I saw your post for the branding kits, and would love to work on this project. I have plenty of graphics and web design experience, and I specialize in logotypes. I believe I can effectively produce just what you need for this project. If you have any examples of styles you like for these logos I would be very interested to look them over, it often helps deliver exactly what you are looking for.  What time scale are you thinking for completion of these, and in what priority would you list them? As far as price goes I can do the logo, animated sig banner, and animated side banner for $150 for each set,  paid upon completion of accepted drafts. This price includes 2 revisions periods for each design. After payment high resolution and editable files will be transferred. Please let me know if you have any questions for me. Thanks!

Hey! Looks like you know what you're doing. I like the Janitorial Services logo the best since it's relatively simple. I don't like overly complex logos. I had an idea for CPA that we could use a welsh dragon somehow. But I will leave it in your hands. Actually, if you are familiar with it, CPA is "Crimson Permanent Assurance"; named after the monty python video of the same name (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=errwLVgHpXY).

Anyways, let's please do CPA first. There is actually a "rush component" of this particular package; I would like a 720x100 banner for http://www.stochastically.com/ which will fit across the top of the page. This needs to be done ASAP and I don't mind paying you in advance or a little extra. Please let me know what you can do for me. This banner can be updated as time goes by or you could make a cheaper looking banner "for now" to be replaced with a better looking one later Smiley Again I will leave that in your hands.

So basically, the creative process works via osmosis and artistic things, so please do watch the video I liked you. This is an insurance company. Our webpage is tsukino.ca/cpa

Thanks again! Please let me know where to send the money and about how long it will take to do the mock up. Please take your time! Although I do need some kind of banner or add for stochastically.com as soon as you feel comfortable with the work you have done.

Hope to chat soon!

p.s. I assume by $150 you mean payment in 16-17 bitcoins? Actual dollars is possible too! I can send you paypal. or did you mean...... 150 bitcoins? o_o

hello,
Sorry again about not keeping better contact. I have included some roughs of logos for you to look at and see which direction you would like. Please let me know what you don't like as well, or even if you like some elements of several. I am working on a banner right now and will work in the basic logo you choose. Talk to you soon. Thanks.

Hi!

Top center and bottom center are nice, but the bottom center logo's top arching text doesn't look piratey enough :p

Ok, so moving forward with the top center and bottom center logos, perhaps you could show me something with a more piratey text (I know that getting the actual text screened from the film is probably a bad idea) but I wonder if it would be possible to at least identify it for curiosity's sake? So in that regard, I am actually interested in the circular image you have done with the red building. Ok so there's one other image I would like to ask you about, which is a building with sails. At 6:00 we see the building with sails but at 6:29 the image presents itself as something which might be able to be turned into a logo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=errwLVgHpXY). Please take a look.

So once again, the top center image and bottom center image are my two favorites and I would like to move forward with those. This is my first purchase of a logo so I'm unsure of what to do next. I originally had the idea that you would design a banner add as well (like the [urlhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38544.msg472116#msg472116]two for IBB[/url] or for bitcointrading). Almost anything would be good because there are no really good advertisements around here IMO. So I just need to get something out pretty quickly, although you can take your time (lol) if you like.

Ok so let's see. I assume you will want 15 bitcoins for all this. I like those logos so I can pay half (7.5) bitcoins right now for those logos? And then we can move forward on the banner add? Or what is your suggestion.. thanks

Great, glad it is moving in the right direction. I will get going on a simple banner add then work out something animated and more finished, as well as refine the logo. I don't mind waiting until this package is complete for payment if that is ok. I will try to integrate your suggestions and get that banner to you soon. Thanks.

Hello again!

I tried to implement some of your feedback such as the pirate font, but you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a good pirate font now days. As far as finding the text from the movie, id say it was custom drawn especially back then with Terry Gilliam doing all the art. I have a simple banner for you, sorry it took so long but without a basic logo first what is the point of a banner?

http://www.tecshare.com/banner2.png

It is the size you requested and should serve your purposes until the animated one can be completed. For that banner I am thinking I will have the buildings on the right there first, then the red building will move into it, the wheel from the logo will drop crushing the city as it fades, then the text will move in. If you have any ideas for copy let me know, otherwise I will just come up with something. Hope this works for now. Please let me know if you have any more comments or feedback. Thanks!

(5)
Do you know exactly what size your banner needs to be? Haven't heard back from you on the quick banner. Curious if you liked the concept for the animation as well.

Hi!

Unfortunately Pirate's BTCS&T just blew up. As an insurance company we're launching all zigs. I have to stop this. I am not going to be able to use any of the designs, and we might go under.

Sorry o_o it was a bad time for us to get into the insurance business, right before pirate collapsed :>

It was wrong for him to rely on pirate as some sort of backing for his little project. TECSHARE completed all, or most of the work and should be paid accordingly. If you have a flooring company come into your home to do some flooring, and when they're 90% done you realize you cant pay for the damn house doesn't mean they do not get paid.

Theft of services is still theft. Pirate failing to fulfill his financial obligations does not mean usagi is exempt from his obligations.

I recommend asking me for a signature from my GPG key before doing a trade. I will NEVER deny such a request.

Remember me? (At least OP didn't go starting a thread telling everyone to "abuse the work freely")

Thank you Matthew for honoring this agreement. I am not sure how it relates to you, but if you are willing to take the debt I accept this and defer it to you. I appreciate the forthcoming in fixing this quickly. If he would have contacted me sooner I might not have asked for anything, but I was left with my last notice being to continue work. I did not want to make this a big public issue but in PMs usagi was not only very confrontational but quite rude, and seemed to be of the opinion that his connections would allow him to steamroll over this issue. Once again thank you for taking care of this, as well as strengthening the community as a whole. I will lock this thread now.
