It was a great pleasure to host two of Bitcoin’s best known foster parents, Gavin Andresen (Chief Scientist at The Bitcoin Foundation) and Mike Hearn (Vinumeris/Lighthouse), at Toynbee Hall. They shared their latest thoughts (45 mins QA session), and, no doubt, reminded us that, given time, Bitcoin can indeed prove itself to be more than capable of fulfilling its early promise and much more to boot. I cleaned the sound of the recoding a bit...removed some loud sharp noise from the recording.

To get most views youtube is the best bet (also brings in alot of future hits for free), sucks if you are trying to promote a site though. Could always put an advert in the video perhaps offer HQ via link.

Thanks for this. I like Mike Hearn's talks they always get me thinking ... I like the ideas he's presented about self-driving cars and autonomous self-adjusting cities powered by Bitcoin. Exciting stuff.

@Amph Sound's working fine (I'm on an Android phone). I wish I had the time to transcribe If anyone ever feels like transcribing any of my community recordings, please do so. I'll be very happy to upload onto YouTube as captions. |

Ok, so he drops the "ZeroCash" teaser, and says nothing more.  On the question of courts being able to make judgements regarding "Smart contracts" ..... My guess... Nope, they have no clue about the Blockchain and they still need to be fully educated on how these technical things work, and what legislation will work for it. I like the Bitcoin mining electric blanket idea.... you generate heat from mining and use it to warm your bed and your coffee and you get paid for it.  |

We will need severe regulation going on in order to make smart contract being recognized by the official institutions. Having recognized smart contracts are a good thing, but im afraid of the side effects that said regulations could have in the BTC world. |

It'll seem like slow creep, but so-called smart contracts will be commonplace before long. Look at what Hedgy is doing. Simple performance contract using oracles and multi-sig with vastly reduced counterparty risk. Brilliant use of Bitcoin tech. When this tech exists and is proven, the question becomes why not use it?
