Specifically, the article on Electronic money (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_money) lists a few potential issues associated with e-currency.  Bitcoin is mentioned as one of the e-currencies.

One of the potential problems mentioned is that of computer crime, such as altering others' computers so as to steal their money. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_money#Issues)  Unfortunately, only one way is offered to address these problems:  cyberspace regulations.

I would edit the article myself, but I know there are people here who have more experience and knowledge in these areas, so I am hoping someone can offer a couple alternatives to regulation.

The success of bitcoin depends on the spread of these ideas, which is why I have started this topic.  What do you think?
