even worse, right now you can only mine with free electricity and with the last available miner, which is the antminer s5, but don't expect a big profit if you can't afford those, you can mine with your cpu in the altcoin section, there is something there that is cpu only

You mine with your GPU or CPU and trade the coins on an exchange for BTC. Good luck.

Any amount of mining power can make you profit granted you get in early & sell high, even as little as it may be.

You may use this bitcoin mining calculator. What about my my Intel Core i5?
You can not mine bitcoin with CPU/GPU. and how to mine with altcoin and can I transfer from alt to bit boin?
You may try mining some alt coins with CPU/GPU and then exchange them with bitcoin. But generally that is just a gamble. It is better to try cloud mining bitcoins with mining companies paying for long...

With the GPU he has it's impossible to mine anything. Also that M next to the number means mobile, so he's trying to mine on a laptop. I can already tell you that even if you find a new coin worth mining it will destroy your laptop as they aren't made for running 24/7.

Learn to trade. Mining is for the big boys with the big guns or for people who can't trade. Some altcoins can make swings of 1000% in just a few days. Happens occasionally. It's pretty risky speculation though. A good trader makes much more profit than a miner imo.

Look out for scammy pump-and-dump coins. Even with pump and dump in most cases you lose money compared to electricity. And I feel safe saying in 99.999 percent of cases you will never pay off a GPU/CPU rig from mining. Now a year or two ago... totally different story. But mining has went the way of the asics.

my advice is do not mining bitcoin because is not profitable with your hadrware. start looking altcoin that can you mining with your hardware. if your hardware have a little hashrate, find altcoin with low diff to mining. find altcoin here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0

Bitcoin Mining is pretty much pointless. You should, like everyone is saying mine Altcoins. Avoid Scrypt Altcoins as they have asics that can mine them now so the profits for GPU/CPU mining on that Altcoin path has dropped dramatically. Also if you want to mine and than quit I suggest finding a Coin that features PoS (Proof of Stake, basically you mine a bunch of coins, leave them in your wallet with the wallet unlocked to stake coins and make interest sort of). Also if you do wind up with a fairly decent amount of BTC you can if you wanted to store them at Cryptsy and earn daily interest.

Yes, your computer might face problems if it will mine 100% cpu and gpu, and it will certainly not be worth it no matter what shitcoins you mine, unless you get extremely lucky to sell some pumped alt before the dump which you won't because of lack of experience. You might try some PoS coin however. Like CON, HYP or DMD. PoS coins won't use much electricity, will not ruin your computer and believe me the stakes you get will provide you more fun than those tiny satoshies that you could mine, if even, with a pc

Umm, thats a processor, not a GPU lol. GPU is a graphics card, which back in the day to find bitcoin, but ever since ASICs been here its been more of armed asic race. Also you might want to reconsider some stuff that people said, since you are new. I`d suggest building an account and join a campaign to get bitcoin before consider the mining scene and explore other options.
