Ben daha sonra bu yıl İstanbul'da olacağını düşünüyorum. Ben ayrılmadan önce benim Lirası satmak için bir ATM kullanmak isterim. O Atatürk Havalimanı'nda eğer hala herkes biliyor musun?

Hi, As far as I know the ATM doesn't work or it isn't there anymore, But there're lots of friends in Istanbul to make exchange in person.

Thanks for the response. I guess I will have to do a trade in the city somewhere. I use an apartment near Taxim, but when I really need one is as I'm leaving Turkey.

~Cheers!

You can find a lot of Turkish Bitcoin users in Taksim and it's surroundings. The Bitcoin ATM/kiosk that was located in Ataturk Airport should be still there but last time i read something about that here was the "Bitcoin Buy/Sell" option was removed, so you can say it's gone.

I am usually around asmali mescit by day. (very close to taksim) I can buy bitcoins from you to help you out but you should ping me before a couple days from the transaction.

Thanks @ Deathwing and @ emrebey

I am not going there soon, but I love Turkey and next time I will be sure to connect! It would be fun to have some elma tea and talk about bitcoin.

TravelersBox kiosk at Ataturk Airport is no longer in use. But a similar service, Bitupcard is available in a number of places via online terminals deployed in some grocery stores. Map of stores can be found at https://www.bitupcard.com/en

Basically, you pay cash to buy a voucher which can be converted later to bitcoins. Minimum denomination is 50 Turkish Liras. There is neither buying limit nor identity verification.
