(SOLVED) Virtuemart Payment Gateway add currecy conversion

Hi guys, I need a working bitcoin payment gateway for virtuemart. There is one here at present: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1841.0

However it cannot connect to remote clients correctly for some reason, and also I need a currency conversion say using the Mt. Gox API because the client will still be using US dollars. I have tried debugging it a bit myself, but I just dont have the time. Hence, there is now an 8BTC bounty for this.

The error message I get from the extension when trying to connect to the remote bitcoin server is: Error: The Bitcoin server is presently unavailable. Please contact the site administrator.
Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_bitcoin)

I have confirmed that the bitcoind I am running can be connected to from the IP I need, however this plugin for virtuemart cannot seem to connect.

Okay got the module working the bounty is now 4BTC for the currency conversion addition.
