I'm interested in crypto-currencies and I'm considering creating my own.

I'm looking for co-developers, artists, promoters, supporters and good ideas for the coin.

If you have something - please PM or email.

If you have some ideas for the logo or awesome website design - please PM as well.

*** Launch date:
 * 2015, not earlier than June-July 2015. Probably even later, detail will be announced closer to the launch day.

*** Some ideas and details:
 * Full POS [after initial POW distribution phase]
 * 1 million coins
 * POW Algo: NOT X11, X13, X15, SHA256 or Scrypt
 * Exchange: some low volume exchange will be available. NOT Cryptsy, Poloniex, Bittrex or C-CEX
 * No premine
 * No IPO

*** Note:
 * This is unmoderated thread, but please avoid FUD. I don't have ideas for the coin yet and I am not asking you to invest or mine this coin. So if you don't like it, please move on. Thanks.
 * This is NOT a quick pump and dump coin, please don't spend your time here if you are looking for a quick buck.
 * There are no promises yet, only a call for ideas.
 * I don't even guarantee that this will ever launch.

***
23 April 2015 - Pre-ann thread created
9 May 2015 - Logo contest finished

There will be initial POW distribution phase.
I observed many coin launches. Huge solo-miner farms, rented rigs and multipools jump onto the new coin and mine the hell out of it. And then in a few days after launch "investors" demand news from the dev. And when POW hype is over, everybody just moves onto the next coin leaving some bagholders who are hoping that the price will go up and demanding news from the dev. I want to avoid all of this.

I think I have some ideas how to accomplish it. But I am open to suggestions.

Thanks

Why do you need to create one more coin?

Why do you need to create one more coin?

Fair question. Too many coins nowadays. Most don't survive even a few months.

I don't have a "killer feature" yet, but am hoping to get it before or after the launch.

Also I'm doing it because I want and because I can.

I hope to find new interesting people and get some new experience from this.

Full POS is not correct.
Little POW then POS.

I can be a promoter for the coin.
I'm also a promoter for BIRDcoin and have a faucet with 1000+ visit a day.
Contact me for the proposal

CryptoNight is not CPU only. See http://cryptomining-blog.com/2894-claymore-xmrqcnfcnbcn-gpu-miner-for-cryptonight-coins/ There is a proprietary miner and the dev gets 5% rewards from all miners.

Almost all CPU coins may be mined on GPU, it's just a matter of time.

I have a cool idea for algorithm. I will PM you...

CryptoNight is not CPU only, yes, but it is not a bad idea, at least no rented rigs and enormous hash
