Duhhh...how do I insert a screen grab image?

It sounds dumb, but I don't know how to insert a screen grab. Please explain.

Go to imgur and upload the picture. You would then get http://imgur.com/XXXXXX. Post it on the forum in this format (remember to add .jpg at the end),

1. Go to imgur.com
2. Press Upload images
3. Click browse your computer and upload then image.
4. Press start upload and follow the steps on my previous reply.

For free (Windows) you can use CTRL+PRINTSCREEN then paste the image into Paint and crop as needed.

In windows 8 you can use the "snipping tool".   It is free and comes with Windows. 

Yes snagit is a paid one last I knew of.  Also photo bucket works nicely with this site as another place to store pictures.

Yes you have to upload it online..... it will not do it automatically.  Unless you had like a google drive or dropbox it sends to automatically.

There are multiple image sites listed in here you can upload to.

You can use Gyazo if you want instant upload. It will upload as soon as you take a pic. Just add ".jpg" to the end.

It is very easy to use and can edit & upload instantly after taking the screen-shot.

you can even use imgur if you snip the screen and upload and host the image over on that site then just paste the link here between img tags and done

You did not say, if you want to insert the "screen grab" into this forum?

Most Windows OS's have a program called, "Paint" .... just press Ctrl + Prt Scr buttons on the page you want to capture and then open Paint. Press Ctrl + V or click on the Paste button within the program.

Your screen capture, will now be pasted in the Paint program. Save the picture and upload it to a imgur.com. Once it's saved there, you highlight the direct link Url and copy and paste it.

Then you come back to the forum, and reply or create a new post and click on the Insert image button at the top. You then paste the url between the brackets, and it will be displayed on the forum.  

Sorry if this is obvious, but there may be other people struggling with the same thing.
